ok.. this is long and confusing lol!!!
after cpn earlier i was shattered so decided as i had the day to myself to go back to sleep!!! of which i did, and i went into a fairly deep sleep.
i dreamt that it was time to wake up and i did, but in my head i believed i was in fact getting up, i was in my room at uni, everything how it is, and i couldn't wake up properly felt too heavy and so slumped at the end of my bed, then i woke up (in my dream) and realised i was dreaming but i did need to get up and i was too hot, but also heavy and sleepy so i took some layers off and then feel asleep on the stairs in my room, then finally woken up by my alarm (from now on its real) I woke up, finding it hard to open eyes, confused to whether i was awake or not as i had dreamt i had woken up twice, and feeling heavy, but as my alarm kept going off as did my txt from hels i forced my eyes open and sit up!!! it takes me ages to wake up properly and leaves me feeling weird!!!!
i have these dreams a lot and only when i sleep through the day!?!?
however they usually involve me having a fit or fainting- none of which i suffer from in real life!?!?!
what does it all mean?

It sounds a like sleep-paralysis. I may have it when sleeping in the day - planning for a little short nap, which turns out to be longer and deeper... or I have it if I'm not sure whether I locked my door properly and fear for intruders (I've had a burgler in my parents' home twice while we were sleeping upstairs). I'd be trying desperately to wake up, in my mind think I did wake up, but then a little later realize I'm still sleeping in my bed and just cant even open up my eyes, or lift a finger. It feels as if there's some presence - the perceived cause of waking you up consciously enough... for me not a demon, but someone trying my door handle or something. Heck, I had one this week only, at night. I was even sure the "burglar" had entered my bedroom and I was mumbling "who are you and what are you doing here", while I just couldn't open my eyes or move. When I finally did wake up effectively, I found I had not locked my door properly, but detailed arrangement was different, so there never was anyone there.
Here's a wikilink to the phenomenon

Some reports read that various factors increase the likelihood of both paralysis and hallucinations. These include:[16]
* Sleeping in a face upwards or supine position
* Irregular sleeping schedules; naps, sleeping in, sleep deprivation
* Increased stress
* Sudden environmental/lifestyle changes
* A lucid dream that immediately precedes the episode.

Treatment
Treatment starts with patient education about sleep stages and about the muscle atonia that is typically associated with REM sleep. For most healthy individuals, avoiding chronic sleep deprivation is enough to relieve symptoms. It is recommended that patients be evaluated for narcolepsy if symptoms persist.[17] |

If you have sleep apnia, yeah then you might have a big sleep deprivation, unrestful sleep pattern... both those and a nap in the day are typical reasons for regular sleep paralysis episodes. My parents both had a screening in a sleep hospital, both have apnia, and were helped to get more out of their sleep.
Good luck with the test results.
