Just last night i dreamed that i attacked someone who misbehaved with me and i was trying to escape any legal action.
no i did not kill that person, and i didn't attack very aggressively either.i just took a big knife and lightly, very lightly tried to hit that person in the head the first time, but the person was not hurt. i then put a little more pressure and it looked like this time i hurt the person. again, the wound was not something big, yet, i dont know why i left that place immediately thinking i might have to face the cops in case the other person call for the cops. i didnt run, i just took a different route to go home, i took a public transport which i normally dont...but i woke up before the dream ended.
what could it mean?
i am female and the person i attacked was also female, someone unknown to me.

The dream could be showing you a part of you self that is in the unconscious and needs to be cleansed/transmuted. I've had dream where lots of anger came out and then I read a horoscope saying something about situations trying to make me look my worst. The dream was just showing me energy I had which I needed to transmute, and that I was unaware of on some level.

Aegeus mentioned it already. And I'm adding to it. To attack someone with a knife in a dream usually reveals a lot of bottled up aggression that needs to get out. You mention the other misbehaved. Has anyone in your waking life "misbehaved" in a way that made you suppress anger, ignore it or make less of it than it really was? Anger is a normal alarm signal to alert you that someone is not treating you as they should.
Your post is apologetic and tries to minimize both the cause of your need to counter-attack the one in your waking life who hurt you, disrespected you, made you feel bad as well as your aggression. They did not "misbehave". They acted wrongly and you have every right to defend your boundaries. Don't minimize the damage others did to you.
Meanwhile there's no reason to apologize for a defense action in the dream world. It's not real! You're not a psychopath for feeling angry, or wanting to scream once in a while, or wanting to lash out against someone, certainly not in your own private dream world where anything goes.
Your shame of feelings of anger is so big that even in your dream world you go hide out of fear that the cops will come and get you. But they can't get to you in that non-physical private world.
Acept your right to be angry. Admit that other people can harm you, even with intent to harm you, and that you have the right to not let them get away with it. It doesn't mean you need to have your knife ready in the real world. But words can cut like a knife.

I found that that helpful too. The anger I expressed in the dream I was touching on was directed at authority I felt was out of line in it's use of power.
