During this process someone young and playful (<- young teasing brother) meaning no real harm still acts in a way that makes you feel disrespected. You feel disrepected and lash out in defense, but family does not support you in this.
Using a staircase is indicative of the need for spiritual growth, but you mention the stairs are weak... this is indicative of a spiritual weakened state. This seems related to the waterlogging: the irrigating of life that got interrupted in a manner which made you feel disrespected. You try to gain strength by leaning on the available support. "To dream that you hurt yourself with a nail, suggests that you need to be careful with what you say." Again this is reminiscent of the earlier disturbance and how you defended yourself against your younger brother, a warning that lashing out in defense may cause more harm than good.
Let's see what gets hurt by the nail: your left hand, the first finger which can be used to point accusingly to someone. Hands are a means of communication, to connect with others (body language as well as shaking hands). So the warning about "be careful what you say" is about "be careful what you accuse others of". The left hand stands for your feminine side. So, once again it has to do with feeling hurt in your feminity (just like when your little brother slapped your butt).
The consequences from accusing rashly and lashing out will bring you more pain than the disrespect you felt that made you lash out in the first place, and not until you find care by authority (the father) will you feel better about the whole situation.
