but me and my friend are hanging out and chilling and occasionally getting a bit on the frisky side, we were lying on this bed talking and he was like "I cant get too close to you....because something doesnt want us to be...." He's looking a bit scared and worried so i asked him what he was talking about and he says "It just wont let me, everytime i get close to someone it attacks them!" i then told him "I'm not gonna let whatever it is keep us apart, i love you and i'm sticking by you!" so we hug and the dream continues, this dream was very long so i dont remember most of it, but towards the end of the dream, we were laying on that bed again and he was being a bit frisky until he decided to tickle me which made me laugh and i turn over look him in the eye and i say "I love you!" He says the same back and i just feel and see the deep love that(but it's a strong friendship love, i felt it big time during this dream) is coming from him, so i kiss him on the lips and then excuse myself to go to the bathroom, as i'm in the bathroom i hear these banging noises(in a part of the dream my friend told me that's how IT made its presense known just by that certain banging thing IT does) i ignore it the first time but then it gets a little louder so i call his name and a few seconds later he runs into the bathroom, opens this locker thing and pulls out what i would describe as a little gremlin, and he starts yelling at it saying "You are not gonna keep us apart!!!!!!!!!! I love her!!!! do you understand that!!! leave me alone, leave us alone!!!!" and then he litterly tosses it over his shoulder and pulls me into him and gives me a really big hug.

Is this friend simply a friend or a boyfriend?

I ask because the dream brings up a lot of physical aspects.  Getting 'frisky', associated with the bed, lots of hugging.  It seems quite intimate.  I was actually a little mystified with the friendship love comment that came later, followed by a kiss on the lips - a lover's kiss.

In the case that this is simply a friendship and not a relationship I would say the dream is referring to a resistance to physical temptation in relation to this friendship, or perhaps confusion as to the development of this friendship, whether to go beyond friendship.

What about the gremlin?  What does that represent to you?  It is something that is standing in the way of the two of you.  Something that is 'locked away' in his locker, and is keeping the two of you apart?

Not knowing the situation it is hard to say the exact circumstance the dream is referring to, but it may be related to that.

Re-reading the dream look at the phrase "I can't get close to you because something doesn't want us to be".  That thing is the gremlin.  It won't let you get close.  It doesn't want you to be... what?  A couple, an item?

he's just a friend, although i wouldnt mind being more then friends with him....he's married so thats not gonna happen anytime soon! we are pretty close those, i would say were soulmates but in a friend way if that makes any sense. Oh lord the gremlin has so many meanings i wouldn't know where to start with that

Well I would say the dream could be:

- a wish fulfilling dream indicating casting that gremlin aside and going for it.

- a dream addressing the tension that is ever present in this friendship (esp if the feeling is mutual, it would be no surprise that there would be conflict revolving around becoming closer) and the need to repress these feelings.
