A few minutes ago I awoken from a relatively fun, yet sympathetic dream.

I along with one close friend whom I know nothing of because I don't have close friends were pretending to be brides. Somehow we crashed someone's actual wedding reception and from there everything spiraled out of control.

We had a male friend who we thought was attractive. He kept following my friend around proclaiming his love for her.

A few people eventually realized we weren't the real brides and called for security. On our way out of the building, our male friend gave us a small cake he purchased, which we ate with our hands. . . XD! But when we were eating cake, he exclaimed how its difficult to be in love with both women when they're acting like this. . . I suppose how we were eating the cake.

He even paid for a band. But as I descended the stairs, I noticed my best friend ran upstairs and danced with the band and a crowd of people.

I was alone. I kept descending the stairs until I disappeared in a haze of stars.

Towards the end of the dream, they kept dialing my phone number, but I never picked up. My best friend realized he was in love with me.

May someone please interpret this dream for me?

You said he pays for the cake and the band, dancing, crowds, so maybe these represent material or superficial things he can offer?  Eating the cake could possibly represent being attracted to him for what he can give materially instead of feelings you have for him ... Leaving the party could represent not being interested in the superficial things. so perhaps that's why he ends up calling you later?
