I had a dream while ago with white dolphins. I went into the water cause I wanted to swim with them, and they told me to go back a shore as I need air. Two of my friends were on the shore the whole time. It's either dolphins seeking to open up communication, or some symbolism which is beyond me.

I think for me to best interpret this, I would like to know if these are friends of yours in real life and what relationship they are to you. Any other details about how the dream played out would be helpful too.

Dolphins are often associated with beauty with a subtle sexuality to them as well. It's interesting that they are white. They often play the role of your intuition or gut instincts. Water represents emotional aspect. The ability to breath under water or to need air is our ability to cope with these emotions. What's interesting is that you are attracted to following these white dolphins but they warn you not to enter the water. Are they friendly toward you regardless? Generally I get the impression that this dream is saying you are getting in over your head so to speak with a new passion or interest. Since the dream itself seems rather light hearted though I see it more as a general tip rather than a warning since it would show up more as a nightmare. The deeper our conscience rests in our emotions the greater the rush we get from them but it also amplifies pain if we get hurt in the process.

The friends are two close friends from real life. At the time I had the dream I was back packing with the two of them and we were camping in the woods for some of it. I've been learning yoga from one of them and the other is closer to my age. We have a lot in common, like having difficult childhood, and being able to carry and deep conversations but find few people who can converse on the same level. They are some of the few close friends I have that I can relate to so well.

I was getting pretty deep into soul exploration when I had the dream, and I've heard the ocean likened to the depths of the soul. One person that I told the dream to said that they heard or read that dolphins used to communicate with humans more but there has been less of this go on lately and that their trying to communcaite with us again. Maybe this also symbolic of communicating with intuition. I've also read that dolphins communicate between here and another planet, or other dimensions.

I know white symbolizes purity.

I had a dream quite a while ago that I was living deep under water with other people non of which I can connect with any oneI know. It was one of those long dreams where weeks and weeks elapse, then after waking up it seems like no time at all.

I just remember a very short and simple part of it. I'm impressed by how helpful it is to hear someone give insights on my dreams. Thanks for the input. Usually what I remember is to vague to be able to explain, or to choppy to piece together.

White is the color of pure spirit.  And water is the moving energy of spirit.  

You feel ready to swim with the spirit.  The dolphins representing spirit guides are making sure you remain in the body to learn and grow before moving in the spirit.

I think you may have helped me solve my runny nose. By not going deeper then I can handle which I've been doing since I heard the first reply my allergies; runny nose and sneezing has been far less then what it was just days before. Still a bit congested but much better.

The last reply rings true too, and which I already knew to some degree, but it doesn't hurt to hear it again and have been putting into practice with study of hatha(physical) yoga.

Do you think recent dreams bear more relevance then older ones, or if I still remember it is there something for me to learn from it yet?
