I had a dream LOL Anyway, I was at some mall somewhere with 2 of my friends that I don't see often.  They just both happened to be named Dave.  We were at this store and I bought a few items and was looking around with them.  It came time to go, they said they would meet me at my car, and I found myself helping the owner lock up.  He said I looked familiar, I had stood out to him once upon a time when I first showed up there but had faded into memory. (He seemed familiar, don't know why, but the place didn't). Helping him lock up involved twisting these giant screw things into the wall to secure some sort of metal plate over the door.  I finished mine and went to leave.  There were 2 sets of glass doors leading out.  1 had a zombie looking creature laying on the ground outside it, so I took the other one.  The creature got up and started to chase me.  I tried to fight back, throwing it at vehicles in the parking lot and the bed of a truck but it kept coming at me, tore my hand up.  I kept running looking for my car. I yelled for Dave, completely forgetting who my other friend was. (For some reason at that point in time I only thought one was named dave and had no idea who the other was).  Finally I reached another part of the parking lot, and it was lighter and had more people.  The zombie seemed distracted by this and I was able to run away and find my car.  When I got there, I realized that my shopping bag had become a pillow, and my 2 seperate friends were now the same person, only at different periods of their life. (One how he currently looks, and one how he looked about 10 years ago.)  They were sitting in my car and a waiter from a nearby bar was serving them.  I saw the bill, and they had already had several drinks between them.  The waiter asked if I wanted anything, and I asked for ice.

Then I woke up...Any insite on that??  Thanks!

There is so much complex symbolism associated with this particular dream that it is difficult to know where to begin.

A zombie is an example of the living dead - someone who is effectively only just alive.

A zombie featuring in your dream is often interpreted to mean that the dreamer is basically not living her life to it's fullest potential, and is sleep walking through life stuck almost permanently on automatic pilot.

A person who is sadly lacking in both a sense of direction and or purpose, and who is essentially drifting from one everyday distraction to another as if there will always be a tomorrow.

Now I must caution you that many of these dream messages are intentionally over dramatized or are magnified out of all reasonable proportion in an attempt to make the person sit up and take notice of the advice being given BEFORE things get anything like being as bad as their dream might suggest that they eventually will.

In other words there is still considerable hope for confidence that you will through your own efforts and perseverance eventually be able to create a much more positive, happy and satisfying future for yourself, when compared to what your dream might first suggest to you that it must turn out to be.

I see Zombies as symbolizing low vibrations, like TV is a low frequency and watching it has a zombifying effect. When a low and a high vibration meet the low can either lower the higher or the high can raise the low. If it is a friend you don't see often it's possible that if they are of a low vibration which would make it harder to make things happen such as seeing friends regularly, and not seeing them often could be protecting you from their lower vibration. If they got through many drinks before you even got ice, then this would also fall into the low vibration category. The zombie disappearing and the friends turning into the same person could be hinting the symbolism of low vibration that was depicted as a zombie morphed into oneness with the friends to be depicted as them drinking excessively in a car. The fact that they are your friends means they are harmless by will/intent, but they dream alludes to a need to be carfull not to pick up on their bad habits. Zombies in movie are contagious, but it is mostly those scarred of it that succumb it, as fear lowers one's vibration to be slow enough to be slow enough to be caught by something as slow as a zombie. In movies the ones that don't feed the fear and instead respond to their surroundings clearly find a way to live. That is not let the fear lower their vibe and gently push toward the light.

Note cars generally are run on technology of lower vibrations, and hence they have a lowering effect on ones vibration. In dreams I fly, when there's danger I can disappear. I had a dream where I was on an alien space ship (blue alien's with big heads and oval side ways eyes) I had a ray gun same as they had, but I was didn't know it at first and fired it accidentally in a direction some aliens were in, and they returned fire. I immediately went to thinking how I didn't want to hurt them or be hurt, and I got out of harms way instantly. I guess my wanting protection selflessly invoke powerful protection. Perhaps you have played a part in lowering the vibration of others and that is part of attraction low vibration energy.

I use to dream about zombies every night. They always seemed like endless numbers and it they often seemed like their was no stopping them. A constant war of attrition and sometimes quite frightening. It was never the zombies themself that woke me up though but the feeling of hopelessness and the final feeling of giving up. The zombies were an embodiment of my own neurosis at the time and the closer they got to getting me, or my friends, or the house we were in was how close I was to buckling under pressure. The dreams were so frequent I started to become a professional at dealing with them. As soon as the zombie attack would begin I would try to figure out a safe place to go to, taking only the people I knew who weren't infected and fighting them off as they came our way. As I got over that period of my life the zombie attacks became a progress report on how far I came in getting back to normal. The more of a victory I had the better off I was. In the end though the zombies changed into other, less threatening things, and often the truth was I couldn't win through fighting it but I had to reconcile what it was that I was resisting and find a way to resolve it through non aggressive means such as a truce.

I have a theory of my own on the symolism of zombies.

Often in my dreams of zombies, akin to that of Leof, fighting the zombies individually achieves nothing.  I need to destroy the 'source'.

From a psychological point of view I see the zombies as 'brainless', but physical and unattractive beings.  Hence I see it as unconscious physical urges, that aren't all that attractive.  Could be from sexual things to something like picking your nose.  Sort of like bad habits.  And fighting the urge / bad habit itself doesn't work, since the urge will still always be there.  If you wish to remove the urge you need to find the source of the urge and, well I haven't got that far yeat but I am assuming 'assimilate it' from a Jungian perspective.  Apparently simply being aware of that source is enough to overcome the problem but I have not seen this in action.
