Hello everyone,

Can anybody pls interpret this dream.......

"I and my wife with 2 children, one girl and other boy(5-7 yrs both) enter a shrine and met the Head Hindu monk and spoke with him..Then we came out of the shrine when a mob of muslim rioters attacked and burnt the shrine killing everyone inside. My wife told me to run and we started running when some members of the mob started attacking us with sticks. We ran into a road which was when it became dark and to my astonishment my wife and boy child were missing when I turned back"

What could be the meaning of this........... Actually a college student and not married.. Why was this odd dream as I don't have hatred to any community??
A dream from the collective unconscious mind?

It is difficult to say for certain only on the basis of this single dream, what this might mean.

It could possibly be a past life experience you once had, but I tend to feel that it is purely symbolic (each of it's parts stands for something else in your waking life) and contains an important message for you (or all of us) about your/our current lifetime.

Notice that you were nearly the victim of ignorance and intolerance between the two religions, and were not yourself doing anything wrong at the time (you were worshipping your God).

Unfortunately, whatever was actually represented in your dream by your wife and two children (as you are not married in real life, nor have any children) was lost.

I cannot guarantee my interpretation is the correct one (as in the end you are always the best possible interpreter of your own dreams) but I believe that the dream is simply reminding you/us that when two groups of people with a very different set of beliefs meet (in this case Hindus and Muslims) and one is intolerant of the other, that there will almost inevitably be many innocent people including women and children caught in the crossfire.

Your dream is especially relevant in the light of the many outbursts of terrorist mass murder and religious intolerance that are happening all over the world at present between people only thinly disguised as being true Muslims, against what the rest of the world represents to them which they feel they will never have as a people.

Fundamentalists of any persuasion, religious or otherwise are dangerous, but unfortunately millions of innocent  followers of the Muslim religion are persecuted and killed as a direct result through no fault of their own.

Thinking more deeply about your dream, this one may have come more from the collective unconscious which we all share with one another as humans at some level, instead of only coming from your personal unconscious mind as most other dreams do.

Perhaps this is a message intended for all of us as a species about the murder of innocents as a result of mass religious intolerance and hatred towards our fellow man and woman (which is hardly anything new) standing in the way of us all being able to evolve or make positive progress as a whole.

Anyone who seems too different when compared to us is fair game for acts of cruelty and intolerance?
