I have officially reached the point of being weirded out by my dreams.  I need some insight on them.  So to avoid posting a million new threads about each dream, I'm going to put them all in this one.  Don't worry there are only three of them.  They all happened over the weekend.

Friday Night:
I had a dream I was over at my aunt's house.  She had just bought a Yorkshire Terrier.  I fell in love with the dog instantly and started playing with it.  I was hugging the dog, kissing it's nose and petting it.  My aunt offered to let me keep the dog for myself.

Saturday Night:
I dreamed I was at my favourite clothing store.  My two friends V******* and C******* were helping me pick out clothes since they work there.  They were telling me I needed to date the guy at the coffee shop.  I reminded them that he has a girlfriend.  Then M******* walked up and said I needed to date W******* because our personalities were compatible.  I started blushing.

Sunday Night:
I was headed into a courtyard.  There were brick pathways, and all the buildings looked like they were at least a hundred years old.  I think it was a college campus.  I was dating this guy who was a runner.  He also happened to be the son of a mobster.  I walked into his dorm room to make sure he had slept alone the night before.  I was satisfied with my findings and saw his sister was there taking a nap.  Later the two of them approached me saying that someone was after their families money and they were in trouble.  Their other brother came up to us and we all headed towards an indoor pool.  I interlocked arms with his sister on my right side, we held eachothers hands up by our shoulders.  I was holding my boyfriends hand down to my left side.  We all sat in chairs nest to the pool.  His parents were sitting at the end of the pool.  Across from us were two guys.  His parents told us they were unsure of how much money the two guys from an oposing mob wanted.  First his brother was required to jump into this ring floating in the water and answer a question.  He answered right then climbed back out.  Then his sister did the same.  As she was getting out she sunk back under the water for a bit.  When she climbed out she was wearing a bird costume and had an ipod with her.  I was next in the line so I took my headphones off and started to set them down on the chair.  My boyfriend stopped me and said I didn't need to answer a question.  Then he jumped in the water.



I woke up without the stories seeming complete.  I'm not really sure what to think of them.  I can also tell you they were all lucid dreams.

In all three dreams it seems to be people around you, friends and family that are helping you, or giving you something, be it advice or a dog...LOL

This could be one of a few things...

           a. Perhaps saying you wont be complete until you start finding your own way (Hence the unfinished feeling).

           b. Those around you mean more to you than anything else and there is no reason to have the full story as they are the full story.

           c. Your most happy when with company, and you don't want that to end.

I have had my dreams looked at a few times... I hope I am at least a little right... I have not really tried this before... Just out of interest, what do you think these dreams mean ?

I usually take dreams at face value.  I just get frustrated when I start analyzing them.  All I can seem to think is "why would I dream about these things?" and it gets me nowhere.  I'm a very analytical person so when I can't figure out the deeper meaning of something I get irritated.

First of all Songstress, chillax when you are trying to figure out your dreams.  Quite often it takes a lot of reflection to nut it out.  It also helps to isolate the symbols of each dream, figure out associations and put it back together again.  Eg in the first dream, your aunt's house and the dog seems the main two symbols.  A dog is "man"s best friend and you show great affection to it.  So it does seem like a very social symbol as LoS states.  As for your aunty, I not knowing her at all can't really say what her and her house represent.  Think of what you associate with her, that may give you clues as to what aspect of yourself is gifting you with affectionate friendship.

The second dream seems to be reflecting a search for a compatible partner.  The clothing store may have something to do with you how you represent yourself.  Since the association seems to be with someone you know perhaps you have a crush on him, which may be embarassing for you.

The third dream is a little more complicated.  Is the boyfriend an actual boyfriend or a character of the dream?  He is a runner, perhaps a fear of the boyfriend running / leaving you?  You also don't seem to trust him, checking his room to make sure he is sleeping alone.  He is also the son of a mobster, he has a darkside, perhaps part of the reason you don't fully trust him?  The goings on in the pool is not too clear to me.  Do you meditate often?  You also said the dreams are lucid.  I sometimes interpret my own personal dreams of swimming as excercise into the unconscious, thus going into the pool to answer a question could represent seeking questions from your unconscious?  Just my own personal opinion.  The sister jumping into the pool and coming out a bird and listening to an ipod, interesting symbolism.  What associations do you make with birds?  And do you listen to ipods a lot?  What is music to you?

On the third dream, the guy was simply a character in the dream.  In real life I am single.  I meditate daily.  When it comes to what associations I make with birds is usually just noise.  I find them rather annoying at times.  I use my ipod almost daily.  Music is like my entire life.  I've been singing since I was a little kid.
