I do wonder if the night mares you had as a child stem from a memory you have repressed and did not understand at the time, our childhood fears usually disappear as we get older because we can make more sense of those fears. It can show that the cause of the original dreams have been repressed and have never been resolved even in your adult life.
For it to return now shows there is a trigger in the present which relates to the original fear and has brought it back into the present. To me it shows being out of control, not being able to control a situation, it could stem from a fear of crashing because you are going so fast.
Look around the time of the latest dreams in your waking life to see if there is something which has brought that memory back into the present. it could be something quite insignificant but it was enough to trigger that past memory. Ellie XXX
