ok i was having this dream..:

i was driving down a country road with my mom and dad and there was a house on my left side where we stopped and a guard house and we went in..we bought this house.
it was pretty big..and i was going in and out and saying how nice this house is and all.
and i went in the backyard where there were quite a few rooms it was like a  guest house and there were also coconut trees in the backyard.
so i went in the back alone and around the corner there was a swimming pool..this house is very old so there was water..about 2-4 feet deep and i got scared and i wanted out of that area so when i decided i would get out of that area there were small alligators painted on the concrete (not in the swimming pool but outside the alligators painted were green and something kept saying in my dream not to step on those..the alligators were about 1 feet long painted so i didnt step on any of the alligators i was like hopping with my feet and i suddenly woke up..

what does this dream mean?

Does it ring true for you that you are finding it quite daunting to think you have to start getting some adult responsibilities?

Did you hope you could retain a special role as a grown up, responsibility-less semi-adult that could tune out and be excused when you didn't feel like dealing with stuff.

I think you have also forgotten something - is there some documentation that could be of benefit to you that you should put in - like an application for scholarship or another type of entitlement or classification?

See you have actually become that adult on the inside - you are a deep thinker but on the outside you like to give the impression that you are just cruising along - coasting.

You have true ability though - is it in graphics?  You understand the intricacies and subtleties in some kind of creative/business area I think - is it in websites?  You can earn off your abilities and you have managerial ability as well.  I think the time has come to address the issues and work - what do you think?  Your parents have been quite nurturing and patient - you are quite capable.  I'm not reprimanding you.  The timing is perfect - and you can release yourself from the chrysalis now.

The alligator is painted, so it's not a threat, but you avoid it anyway Similarly you avoid the water even thought its only 4 feet deep ... Maybe the dream represents irrational fears, ones that are imagined but without substance

I have begun to see in several dreams of others that alligators can be associated with forums and message boards, well that is what I think anyway.  Perhaps they are not always so because some things would just come down to similar qualities.

The alligator, is like some site members who sit and wait, then approach.  The teeth of the alligator is the keyboard that is the means of the alligator to hold someone's attention, puncture them, shred them, or gently clasp them and take them under.  

Basically, the imagery is like when you are coming through an area in the riverways/waterholes, and you don't see any alligators except for the odd nostrils or one lying on the bank sunning itself, and you sense there are probably more maybe even right near you, and they are probably watching you and aware of your movements.

So I am wondering if you play down your own 'alligatorship' by justifying the presence of the big alligators that you think you come no where near.
