Want to create a open discussion;

How can we tell when a dream is giving us a warning, glimse into our future or its a simple repeat of the event of the day/worries of our minds.

Could some1 say or have an explanation pls?

The only reliable way I know of to determine whether or not you are actually predicting the future with your dreams or visions (waking dreams) is to wait to see if the event happens. If you constantly receive visions of the future which eventually come true, then this must surely give you greater confidence that your visions are not simply the product of your own thoughts.

Some budding prophets see true glimpses of what is yet to be in black or white instead of the normal colours. Some report that those which turn out to be genuine visions feel different from the rest, although describing exactly in what way they are different is often difficult for them.

In other words the best way to decide whether your visions are glimpses of the future varies widely from one person to another, and there is therefore not only one way of doing this that equally suits everyone.

The gift of prophesy or precognition is not as open to development within a psychic circle or development group as are many of the others. While other group members can provide is with constructive feedback with regards to helping our clairvoyance or act as a willing patient when we are wanting to develop our gift of healing, the only true way to discern which are genuine premonitions is to wait and see if they come to pass, which in practise could potentially be months or years after that particular group meeting has been held.

Possibly the only acceptable answer to your question is that while practising at being a prophet will never make you a perfect one, the ability to sort out the real visions of the future from the rest only generally gradually comes about or develops through your own accumulated positive experiences (where your visions eventually come true) over the space of many years.

But having someone else by your side as well, who believes in your abilities as a prophet possibly more than you do yourself and supports you in whatever way he or she possibly can, would certainly do no harm to your confidence in developing your own spiritual gift of being reliably able to foretell the future (and by so doing greatly speed up and help the process of becoming a successful prophet).

My dreams frightfully do transerlate into reality...so would this mean i have the precognitive ability or foresight ability, or simply one of those thngs?

Scarey as i very often have those "Deja vau" moments and for the life of me can not understand this

Precognition, the spiritual gift of prophecy, the ability to reliably foresee future events - SAME THING.

While I believe that each of us possesses the entire range of psychic abilities, generally we are stronger in one or two of these compared to the others, although if we wish to develop those inner abilities which do not come as easily to us as our strengths, this is always possible if you can only find the right teacher for you.

If your dreams often tend to eventually come true, this would suggest to me that precognition, prophecy or whatever else you want to call it is one of your own psychic strengths.

But no matter how easily or naturally it works for you, be prepared to do some hard work in refining it to the point where you could potentially use it to help others.

With this particular gift also comes the huge burden of using it in a responsible and morally correct manner to help both yourself and them.

Few people in my experience are either capable or willing to accept the possible negative karmic consequences, if they do not manage to deal with this gift in a spiritually mature and balanced manner.

Deja vu on the other hand has I think more to do with RETROCOGNITION or of having dreams or visions of past events, than it probably does with PRECOGNITION, or of you predicting the future.

My advice would be to leave deja vu entirely out of this discussion, and consider it instead under it's own separate thread, once this one about precognition is effectively complete.  

Otherwise the contents of one discussion will tend to bleed over into the other, and only confuse matters more than they already are. IMHO
