I had this way awkward dream and quite don't know what it means...

I had a dream I was holding a child and the child was singing a song, then something flew between me and this child and really didn't know what it was it looked like a dove, but yet it got caught in my hair and was flapping it's wings and I remember seeing the bird as being black then got scared and woke up thinking I had something flapping their wings in my hair.... It was weird lol I need help in knowing what it meant, I believe it to be a meaning in my awake life and can't pin point it....

The child that you were holding was your own inner child, which represents the innocence and far less cynical attitudes of your own childhood.

But there is something coming between you and your own inner child which is symbolised by what you first thought was a white dove, but eventually turned out to be a black crow.

To see doves in your dream is believed to represent peace, tranquillity, harmony, and innocence (in your case specifically of your childhood).

In particular, to see white doves in your dream is thought to symbolise loyalty and friendships. Christians would perhaps see them as representing a message and blessing from the Holy Spirit. It is also thought by many dream interpreters to mean that you have effectively let go of your thoughts of hate and revenge towards someone who has let you down big time.

To see a black crow in your dream represents your more annoying personal habits and the darker part of your character (your shadow self). The crow may serve as a dream messenger from your unconscious that that the thoughts of hate and revenge which you either felt towards someone who let you down badly in the past have not been let go at all, but located in deeper layers of your mind where they continue to cause damage in your relationships with other people, but are now much more difficult to access and treat.

Dreaming of a black crow does not therefore always have to be a negative omen of suffering and grief, unless of course you do not do anything practical to rid yourself of the mental poisons of hatred and the urge for revenge at all costs.

The only lasting way I see of resolving this sorry situation is to learn to more fully accept and integrate the darker aspects of your own personality (everyone has these), and to realise that by continuing to hate and seek revenge against someone else you are in a sense denying that you are also fallible, and have never let anyone else down yourself (or ever will in the future). In other words there in the form of that person, but by the grace of God goes I.
