Whoever lead you to believe that it is not normal to experience pain and strong emotions during dreams is ignoring the fact that as dreamers we are often as unique from one another, as we are in our waking lives.
Yes it is true that some of us are more visual or auditory (hearing) oriented than we experience feelings in our dreams, but you are obviously not one of those people. I suspect that you also strongly feel things including pain when you are awake, and that you may all too often take on the feelings and pain of others, as if they were your own.
This means that I feel that these dreams indicate that you are highly empathic when wide awake. What you decide to do with your gift of empathy is entirely up to you, but my feelings are that you will use this ability in order to help others.
Much of the psychic information you receive is likely to be as feelings (clairsentience), rather than only as visions (clairvoyance) or words and thoughts coming into your head (clairaudience). Unfortunately you may also be unfortunate enough to possess a particularly low pain threshold when compared to your friends, and carry much of the pain from your dreams with you into your everyday consciousness.
OUCH!!!!!!!
