Hey all! Here's my first topic in this section ... thanks for reading!!

Now, my whole life I have been told that you don't "feel" things physically in dreams. But I do ALL the TIME! Many of my dreams are filled with all 6 senses. I taste and smell and touch .... sometimes good, sometimes bad. I've actually felt physical pain that stayed with me when I woke. Obviously this is SO not cool ... hah. But I'm wondering if this happens to anytone else? Anyone ever fall off a bridge and actually hit the water/pavement? I haven't been lucky enough to wake up on impact like most people...

Thanks for all thoughts!

Peace , and sweet dreams

Whoever lead you to believe that it is not normal to experience pain and strong emotions during dreams is ignoring the fact that as dreamers we are often as unique from one another, as we are in our waking lives.

Yes it is true that some of us are more visual or auditory (hearing) oriented than we experience feelings in our dreams, but you are obviously not one of those people. I suspect that you also strongly feel things including pain when you are awake, and that you may all too often take on the feelings and pain of others, as if they were your own.

This means that I feel that these dreams indicate that you are highly empathic when wide awake. What you decide to do with your gift of empathy is entirely up to you, but my feelings are that you will use this ability in order to help others.

Much of the psychic information you receive is likely to be as feelings (clairsentience), rather than only as visions (clairvoyance) or words and thoughts coming into your head (clairaudience). Unfortunately you may also be unfortunate enough to possess a particularly low pain threshold when compared to your friends, and carry much of the pain from your dreams with you into your everyday consciousness.

OUCH!!!!!!!

Hey thank you very much for your reply.

It is VERY true that I feel the pain of others all the time. I do however have an extremely high tolerance for pain. I don't know if this is something I was born with or gained throughout my life having been exposed to a lot (emotional and physical).

But I've been reading some more posts in here and see that I am definitely not alone in feeling physical feelings during dreams so that's a comfort. I guess I've just never been around or spoken to these types of people in person.

Thanks!
You are welcome

Then this is probably a good thing, if you do tend to take on other people's pain as being your own.

Without having such a high tolerance to pain you might otherwise no longer be able to function in your own life, as you would be constantly overpowered by the pain signals which were coming at you from who knows where.

Namaste,

I'm the same kind. I do often smell and have physical feelings in my dreams. Last night I smoked a cigarette in my dream and could smell and even taste it in my mouth, although I've never smoked in my life. Some days ago I had a weird dream about being kidnapped by some strange people in white-blue uniforms and they tried to manipulate people by implanting a metal chip with a small blue light on top in the neck. I could escape and hide for while, but then these guys caught me again and pushed me down and implanted this chip with a gun-like instrument in my neck. I truly could feel the burning pain in my neck and afterwards I felt a kind of dizziness and was unable to control my moves. Somehow a very scary dream...
