Ok, 1st off "Hello" to everyone ...yes I am new to this forum, but I am looking for some insight into a strange dream that I had last night & it keeps running through my head. I'll try to make it short! ;)

I was on a beach & the weather was overcast & looked like 1 hell of a storm was coming, there were a lot of other people on the beach as if they were all waiting for something big to come...all looking out into the ocean. So, I was on the beach with my boyfriend & I noticed that everyone was running to the water..why? I noticed huge clams were being washed up on the shore & everyone was running to collect them, so I told him to grab as many as he could that we would need to eat them later. He did. To my amazement a monster lobster washed up on to the shore & looking around I heard one woman yell that all the lobsters were coming & sure enough millions of lobsters of normal size washed up & I told him to grab them too. Then my dream switched to what seemed to be a large ,old, & falling apart castle still on the beach. I was wondering around looking for my boyfriend I believe...or at least it felt like I was looking for someone. When a voice told me to take the tangerines laying on this huge old boulder & go down to the shore & take the tops off & my future/answers would be revealed to me but not to open them up until I get to the beach. Also, I could only open them a certain way or all was lost. These tangerines were all connected like earrings, 1 string that connected them all together the larger on the bottom & the smallest on top...this string went through the center of the three & was connected at the top with a gold cap (kinda like the top of a Christmas ornament that holds the hook) When I got to the shore I did what was told of me but when trying to pull the top off the 1st small tangerine, it came off wrong so I freaked out & started to peel them open. On the inside they were rotten & the more I ripped them apart to see what was inside I saw these little white things inside that were growing..turns out they were skulls. This scared me & I figured that was a bad sign & I figured it had something to do with my boyfriend or myself or perhaps our relationship. That reminded me, I still couldn't find him & then I woke up.

Not really sure what this all means, but any & all comments are welcome. I did take the time to look up some of the things that were in my dream, however, I found that when I looked things up individually, the meanings were all different....??? This dream was very vivid & unlike other dreams that I've had since I can remember all the details clearly even days later.

The sea shore is often interpreted as a dream symbol of the interface between a person's conscious mind (represented by the sand) and a much bigger unconscious one (as symbolised by the depths of the ocean). Whether the water is clear and calm or murky and choppy is believed to be a fairly reliable indicator of the dreamer's overall emotional state at the time of the dream.

Lobsters in dreams are often seen as representing great inner strength and the ability to persevere in the face of often adverse circumstances (positive personal qualities). Tangerines are only a type of orange (almost identical to a mandarin). The name tangerine comes from Tangier, Morocco, the port from which the first tangerines were shipped to Europe in 1841. The fruit was first called a tangerine orange, later reduced simply to tangerine. Oranges generally signify good health and prosperity (again these are seen as potentially positive omens).

To see a closed clam in your dream suggests that you are emotionally cold. You may be shutting others out and not letting them in on your problems and what you are feeling. If you see an open clam, you are slowly learning to let others see the real you. To dream of a castle generally means good fortune is coming to you, but as you already know a castle made from sand is one which does not have a very secure foundation. Perhaps you similarly feel that the foundations of your relationship with your current boyfriend need some reinforcement or underpinning?

So it appears to me that what is coming out of your unconscious mind is a mixture of both the positive or negative at the same time. On the surface the tangerines appeared as positive qualities which we all strive to possess, but underneath they were rotten. Overall this dream is I feel an expression of your own fears as to just what is lurking under the surface of your consciousness, and whether what at first appears to be a relatively happy relationship with your boyfriend is in reality not quite what it seems.

Rotten things in dreams do not necessarily mean that something evil is laying below the surface, or that your relationship with your boyfriend is destined to fail or he is attempting to deceive you, but it probably does mean that there are still some interpersonal issues remaining which need to be worked upon (welcome to the human race I say, as relationships often represent the most frustrating and difficult problems we will ever be expected to deal with as both spiritual and human beings) in order to build your relationship on a more solid foundation.
