I've been having a lot of dreams within the last two weeks about my most recent ex boyfriend. We broke up a little over a month ago. The dreams have mostly been dreams in which he rejects me, tells me we never had anything between us, walks away, or just tells me to go away. The others consist of us getting back together and being happy again. Is there any symbolism behind these patterns of any sort?

Hi Chelsea,

I believe that you are confused and of two minds as to whether or not your ex would take you back if you wanted him to.

Your dreaming mind is considering the two alternative outcomes (either he rejects you, or you get back together again and are once more a relatively happy couple), not so much as to make you decide what you should do, but more as to weigh one outcome against the other, and see if it can make any more sense of it.

This type of dream could unfortunately happen fairly frequently for a while (temporarily cycling through a seemingly endless loop), as in my opinion there are other options available to you other than these two, if indeed you are wanting to be reunited with your ex bf at some stage in the future.

I see very little use in discussing these other options with you further, if instead you both wish to now move on with your own individual lives with someone else.
