So a week or two ago..
I'm having some kind of dream that I don't really remember, but I got out of bed and ran full speed over to my dad's room where I leaped on the floor behind some boxes. The dream I had was still in my mind, and so I felt as though I was running for my life.. and even though I was fully awake I thought what I dreamt was real. I sat there on the floor panting, and I looked up to make sure whatever thing was going to kill me wasn't there anymore.

It took me at least a full minute to realize there was nothing there.

The only thing I remember from the dream was a kind of ray machine.. or a beam that was as tall as the ceiling and could move quickly between rooms to chase after me.. At the end of the point it had where the beam of light would usually come out in those science fiction movies, there was a single needle that was extremely large.

For some reason I thought it was going to shoot me with it on my leg or something.

So I went back to bed and later that morning I found an enormous scab on my knee from my jump onto the floor.

Please give me some advice or an interpretaion of some sorts..
This, and all of my dreams, seem too real to me when I am dreaming them that when I wake up like this, I act as if my life depended on it.

No offence intended but the part of your posting where you said....

could possibly be telling you in a round about way that you are often tending to run away FROM life, or are avoiding dealing with important issues which need to be resolved, before you can move forwards once again. You seem to be running from your own fears or fleeting shadows. You are possibly making them appear much more menacing than they are in reality, in your own mind? Some of the things you fear may not even be real, but entirely imagined (they were not there after all).

What does not destroy or kill each of us (represented by the ray machine) often makes us a stronger and wiser person, as a direct result of having gone through what were undoubtedly uncomfortable or frightening experiences at the time they happened.

You thought the ray machine was going to shoot you in the leg or worse. It never did anything to you by itself, but your own fears caused you to end up with an enormous scab on your knee in your waking life (most likely caused by you trying to escape the ray machine or what it represented while you were still dreaming.

The ray machine missed you, but your dream attempts to escape from what you most feared DID NOT? It is highly unusual to have the effects of your dream played out in real life, as has happened here. This strongly suggests to me that you may have an extreme fear or phobia about taking the necessary risks involved with living your life.

If this type of dream recurs too often I would myself be seeking professional advice, as to more accurately identifying what the main source(s) of your fears is or are in your waking life. Once you are able to do this, you will have a much better chance of effectively dealing with whatever you most fear (your true enemy), face to face?
