Since a school is a place of learning or gaining greater understanding, when it appears in your dreams it symbolically means that you yourself need to learn important lessons and be more understanding as well in your waking life.

Please do not take this as negative criticism of your parenting skills (as I am a parent as well, and I know how difficult it must be to practise tough love on a daily basis), but your dream strongly suggests to me that both your son and daughter have lessons to teach you about getting the balance right between being there for them and supporting through the difficult times, but at the same time not interfering in matters which are not your business or in taking total control over situations which your children would better learn by being allowed to make their own mistakes now and then.

Honestly being a firm but fair parent as well in the early years of the 21st century is an incredible challenge for anybody less than a saint, which nothing could have adequately prepared us for. If you do happen to find just the right balance between supporting and over-controlling your children and you could write your secrets down in a book, it should quickly become an all time best seller overnight with puzzled and frustrated parents from all over the world.

Cheers,

thanks eye of tiger,

i think i know what you mean i  have raised my kids on my own and like to think that i am the kool mum but yea i have times when i need not interfere

and the thing about being there supporting them is interesting as it soon will be their older's brother (different mums) 1 year anneversary on 22/oct and i dont really know if i have done enough to support them

i have talked to them and given them time and love as i think they have let me ?? or they have allowed me (sometimes it was eaiser to let the subject alone)

so thanks

The lessons which your children have to teach you do not in any way reflect in a negative sense on your overall performance as a single parent, but are instead lessons of love and their ongoing gratitude and respect for all the loving and caring things you have done on their behalf, under what were at times very adverse circumstances. Not only parents are here to teach their children. We also at the same time have important lessons to learn from them as well, as we try in our own ways to help them to grow and develop into mature and more independent adults in their own right. It was hardly a coincidence then that you were chosen to be their mother, and the other way around is also the case?

Hoping that this makes my intended meanings a little clearer, as you are without any doubt doing the very best you possibly can under the circumstances in raising your children, and I feel that no reasonable God could ever expect any more of you than what you are already doing. IMHO

Love and Light,

From your Aussie friend eye_of_tiger
thanks for the positive comment

thanks for the infro eye_of_the_tiger, i did get a better understating of what you were trying to advise me.

i do know what u mean by its no cocidence that i am their mum and they are my kids

and yea i am doing the best job i can ( i remember when my son was a few years younger telling me that not only am i his mum but his best mate and kinda like his dad)

also ever since she was a little girl i hae pitcures with sayings as you are the best mum in the whole world

and these have made me feel so proud

its just at times when things dont upset them (like sitting on the sideline more than others) i have in the past let it upset me

and i am slowing learing a day at a time to let it slide

so cheers  u made my day
going to school with my kids
