Last night I dreamed my cat caught a mouse. Not uncommon he is good about catching them outside.

He caught them, then more would appear, until they were everywhere.

Then I'm in a laundromat. The only availabe washer has some clothes in it with coins on top of them. No one is there so I reach in to the machine to remove the clothes and their is a rat in there. I'm startled and step back. I look again and now it's a skunk

I'm going through  some changes, for the better however. I'm not sure how to interpret this. Any suggestions?

Best Regards

Hello Abbie,

The following are only some of the more generally accepted meanings for dreams involving rodents. I must warn you that rodents may potentially mean something completely different to your dreaming mind, than with most other people.

To dream that you are doing your laundry (including in a laundromat), strongly suggests to me that you are presently in the process of cleaning up your act, or of changing your self image for the better. You are deeply concerned about how you may appear to others, often involving the sacrifice of your own equally important personal needs. If you dream that someone else is doing your laundry on your behalf, this suggests that you are the unwilling victim of malicious gossip. If it's a person you know, the gossip may be about you and this person, or possibly that person is telling others something about you which has little if any basis in reality.

Dreams about rodents in general are thought to predict trouble ahead for you through active but hidden or thinly veiled jealousy. The only exception to this rule of thumb is if the rodent was the colour white - that is believed to mean that you will be protected by friendly forces. If on the other hand you heard rodents busily gnawing but didn't actually see them, the dream is more likely a warning that you are wasting your time in meaningless pursuits.

If your dream features a rat, you are concerned about your finances. To dream about a mouse could mean that you have been up until now avoiding an unpleasant situation or person in real life that, if faced, would be significantly less difficult to handle than you anticipate.

To see a skunk in your dream is commonly thought to suggest that you may be driving people away or turning people off. Alternatively, it could indicate that all is calm with reference to a particular set of life circumstances, but you do not necessarily like it or agree with the situation in which you currently find yourself. Something about this situation frankly stinks like a skunk does!

It is a bit on the nose, or something is definitely off about this whole thing?

Hoping this at least provides you with further food for thought, even if as I suspect your dreaming mind associates something completely different from what was suggested above, with regard to rodents and/or laundromats.

Your's faithfully,

Last night I had a dream that I had a large sun room full of animals, the animals morphed, some, I was afraid of, some were lovely.  A bird started as a  large cockatoo and then became the size of a small parakeet, I would hold my hand out and it would fly to my finger, suddenly it morphed into a chinchilla and I was afraid at first, then I fed it out of my hand and then there were mice everywhere, they were trying to nurse from the chinchilla, I was stepping on mice and ripping them off the terrified animal.  It appreciated my help and became very friendly.
My dreams are very vivid and sometimes I cannot tell if I am awake or asleep, alot of the time I wake in my dreams only to find I am still dreaming, its very scary, Hopefully someone can help me interperet? Please...????

Hello Jessica,

I do not wish to appear unfriendly to a newcomer, but it is regarded as being impolite and especially bad netiquette on these forums to add your own posting (not directly related to helping the member in question, other than perhaps your dream also involving animals) to somebody else's.

Please post your dream and questions as an entirely new topic instead in the future, and we would then be pleased to offer you our opinions and insights as to their possible meanings.

Love and Light,

Hi Eye_of_Tiger

Very intersting.

The laundromat: I was trying to do my own laundry. Someone left a washer with clothes in it, coins on top of them in a front loading washer. As if they wanted someone else to do it for them. When I reached in to remove these clothes, there was a white rat. When I looked again, it was a skunk.

The mice: They were in my 1 room cabin (where I've lived for over 3 yrs) in front of the front door. The door was particially open. My Cat, Mister Theo Toontz caught a mouse, then more kept appearing. He became very busy. I went to his aide.

I am preparing to restart my life and clean up "my act" so to speak. I'm rejoining the world rather than living isolated  as I have been. There have been many delays the last 3 weeks. RishiRahul advised that Mercury in Retro was playing a role, I hope this passes today.

Part of the delays has required my energy in a manner to get someone to face issue and stand for herself. My moving is dependant on her acquiring the apartment we are to share. This person is sharing an apartment with some she has been roomates with before. Interestingly enough, that person has either changed or my roomate has become aware of irresponsibile behavior she didn't realize before. My friend complains of actions her roomate does not address, while at the same time doing the same thing. My interpretation of that is knowing what I know now, past behavior is repeating, it probably will again. I have changed my plans of how long I will be roomates with her before I move to my final destination of Florida.

I also believe that the delays have been a blessing in disguise as I have had time to stop and look at the whole picture here to see clearly what I am choosing in this stepping stone.

Best Regards
