Planes generally mean that you want something to happen reasonably quickly. Often a wish to achieve something quickly means that you must put less effort into something else. Something or some other area of your life has to be sacrificed in order to bring this about? There is also a suggestion of the freedom offered by flight, and of the person being able to rise above or transcend their problems (or see them from a higher perspective). But planes can relate to more long term goals such as your ambitions and careers. Finally a plane may simply suggest that you are realising that things in general can happen very quickly, including the problems you have unintentionally created by wanting to speed things up according to your own flight schedule.
You are possibly being forced by your current circumstances to change your priorities about what you feel is most important to be done first. In a dream the sight of a busy airport represents your increasing desire for freedom and/or travel as this is the jumping off point for all those who travel the world and it brings out your hidden desires to do the same. If the airport is empty and deserted your own travel plans will be changed or delayed. Since airports are hot spots for the unexpected in the waking world, they signify an important transitional state in dreams; the boarding gates are symbolic portals of infinite arrival and departure. Face these points of entry bravely, with light baggage and an open mind for adventure.
Trains signify attempts to reach significant destinations in our lives"such as career or romantic goals. Dreams of this nature often reflect a hope for liaison on the part of the dreamer with the object of their affections. The remaining part of the dream may unfold with the object of romance as a companion.
A train within the dream may represent the dreamer is attempting to segment, compartmentalize or review various phases, cycles or areas of his or her life.
By effectively sealing off parts of our life into separate little compartments, we hope that things we are embarrassed by can be kept secret from the rest of our personality. In other words, we are often unwilling to fully admit the depth of our own feelings about someone in our waking life, even to ourselves (let alone to other people close to us).

Has the intended meaning(s) of your dream now been made that much more clearer?
Your's truly,
