Hello Cynthia,
Firstly could I please make you aware that the people who so generously give of their own time and energies in order to help you on these forums are unpaid volunteers, and have their own problems and life to live beyond this website. It is therefore I feel unreasonable to expect a response to what was a dream interpretation request so lacking in any detail, especially in under 24 hours.
That having been said, your dream could possibly be interpreted to mean that your inner guidance, your spirit guide, your Higher Power, or even God as you understand him (all represented in your dream by the wise old man with the flowing white beard) has an important message (or several important messages) for you concerning your life's purpose, and valuable lessons which still need to be learnt.
Without any further details concerning this dream or any similar ones you may have had, or without knowing the feelings which were associated with them, I would not even like to make a wild guess as to exactly what those messages might be.
If you have not done so already, I would advise you to begin keeping a regular and carefully date dream diary or journal plus two reliable pens on your bedside table, in order to not only condition your mind to remember your dreams in more detail than this, but to hopefully recognise common themes and patterns through looking at your dreams over perhaps the next month.
Please remember that the strongest feelings which are associated with a particular dream are frequently just as informative in interpreting it's overall meaning than the specific symbols which your dreaming mind chooses.
Hoping this has helped somewhat,
