Last year I was seeing this marine.  We ended up becoming pretty close, and then he suddenly dropped me, not speaking to me, or even emailing me.

About a week before he dropped me to the side, I had this dream about him.  Some unseen person was cutting off his right foot.  It was very graphic, very real feeling.  He was wearing all white but his clothes were stained with blood.  In the background I heard him say, "I really love you."

From my experience, the right foot would represent his moral foundation, stability.  The fact he was wearing white and it was stained with blood would symbolize his truthfulness was marred by his lies.  You see, he had been dating who's not his wife for 8 months, and I was basically the "chick on the side."  I thought it odd that I was on the side considering he was telling me how much he loved me and even dreamt of us having a son, then him dying while rushing in to save us from kidnappers.

I feel that I was correct in my interpretation.  I had never doubted him before, but after that, I felt that I was being warned.  If anything, it would count as my first understood prediction, lol.  I think I had one once before when dreaming of a different ex proposing to me at a banquet.  I found out he had several other girlfriends, lol.

While I do agree with your general interpretations up to a point about the most likely symbolism involved in dreaming of him having his right foot amputated in your dream and the vivid red blood stains on his white clothes, I tend with due respect to disagree about it's most likely overall meaning as a whole.

Rather than it being so much a warning to you that he was of poor moral character and that he could not therefore be trusted, I believe that it is a warning to you about the negative consequences of being "the chick on the side" with reference to his existing relationship with his wife.

I would see the amputated foot as meaning that by having this affair with you he was going against his own moral principles (leaving him no foot to stand on and destabilising his marriage) by continuing to lie to his own wife that she was the only woman he had ever loved. He was deceiving her as well as himself that this was the case, not you. You and he were both symbolically the unseen person who cut off his foot?

The right foot, arm, leg, eye, or ear, all represent conscious attributes, as opposed to unconscious ones. It may also be as you commented a play on the word right (as in a moral sense), as opposed to what was with the luxury of hindsight an unwise course of action to take. He finally had a sudden attack of conscience as a result of his wounds, and decided to call it quits with you.

I sincerely hope that you will see this as not being judgemental or offensive, as this was never my intention.

There is a real danger especially when attempting to interpret your own dreams (although it sometimes also occurs when we try to help someone else do this) that you will only see what you most wanted to see (or hear what you most wanted to hear, for those who are mainly clairaudient).

It is a similar reason to why psychic readers often consult other readers for a reading for themselves. We are frequently too emotionally involved with the outcome of our own reading or dream interpretation to be entirely objective. We often cannot see the forest because there are so many trees?

Hoping that we are still friends after you have read this,

Gulp!

Well, at the time he was only dating this woman, but they were engaged not long after he stopped talking to me.  I just wanted to know if I had gotten ANYTHING correct from my dream.  Personally, I think I had some doubts about him even though they weren't concious ones, and as a result it could have been my subconcious warning me that my unspoken feelings were true, or maybe even my spirit guides drawing negative attention to him on purpose.  That's why after finding this site I ask others to read for me.  I would never consider you offensive in any way.  You're the seasoned psychic, and I'm still a newbie :P  I'm just trying to practice what I learn!
