Many years ago I dreamt that I had sex with what appeared to look like the Devil, but he was green.

I woke up feeling as though I had actually had sex..

I feel like this has some sort of meaning but I do not know what the meaning is and has played on my mind since then.

The age I was when I had this dream would have meant I would have known nothing of sexual intercourse and little regarding the devil.

dreams are not always the way they seem while you are dreaming. what appears to be, may have a different meaning. usually when someone dreams about the devil/demon its because something in their life is going on where they feel self denial or something really negative is going on in their life, taht they need to clear up. and to have sex/orgasim in a dream means that you have completed somthing and gotten fufilment. so if you put the two together(like your dream involving a demon/devil and sex/orgasm) that means something negative was going on in your life or a bad experiance is happening/ going to happen, but you will fufil it , or you already have fufilled it and everything will be alright.

Dreaming  (when I first wrote this I put a c not a d  very apt I thought) is such a different reality that for years poeple have tried to attribute strange and mystical things to it.
Then along came Freud and it all became 'simple' , if it's longer than it's broad - it's phallic.
In order to address your fears first you have believe in the devil, evil incarnate, lord of the lies, Satan, Shaitan - all the rest of that stuff.
No doubt someone will be along to talk about succubi and inccubi and they may be true, I'd hate to think everytime  I had one of 'those' dreams it was some infernal plan.
Equally (if they were true) I'm sure the ladies involved would have been most disapointed to find it was really me and not Brad Pitt or whoever.
Put the dream away, it was only a dream, to be still carrying it is so sad for you.
Put the dream in a bubble and let the bubble rise in the air until it bursts and the dream is gone.

I believe you had intercourse with a succubus or an incubus.

I'M KIDDING!!!!  I just said it to bust Prof. Aker's cajones.

Anyway, even if you were 5 and had this dream, it is instinctive in human nature to procreate to propagate the species, and the only way one can do that is through sexual intercourse.. discounting en vitro that is. So even though you may have been too young know what intercourse was, your instincts did.

Considering the dream happened long ago and far away, much is lost in the translation as to what you were feeling, other than probably a little dirty afterwards considering your age, it's hard to determine what exactly the dream meant. I do believe there are some dreams in ones lifetime that stand out and have the potential of being more than meets the eye... but I do not believe all fall under this category. As the professor mentioned, it is something you should not hang on to and let go... the only thing I can think is perhaps something at that time in your life was weighing on your mind in the form of guilt... and even that answer is a shot in the dark because I doubt you could remember what was going on in your life at that time.

I hate to bring up the obvious, but have you given any thought that it could be related to a real incident. Not necessarily being molested, but something for which this is a metaphor. As you might know, sometimes our minds will hide or distort certain memories as a protective mechanism.
One option is to see a reputable therapist or hypno-therapist. Some therapists have regressed patients ( through hypnosis ) to a past life scenario where they view a traumatic event in that lifetime. From what I have read, this can really help. There are reasons why we remember certain dreams for years.
