I dreamed that Aliens came. It was actually kind of cool soI didn't consider it a nightmare. I woke up through out the night and was kind of disappointed but when I fell back to sleep it went right back to the dream.

It started off I was with a lot of people (a bunch of people I know now and people from my past) just hanging out. Then some how astronomers found out even before the aliens got here that they were coming and warned everyone. They started recruiting people for a war just in case the aliens wanted to fight while they told everyone else to go into hiding. They said we had to do it right now and not even bother packing anything because there wasn't enough time, they were getting too close.
The bunch of people I was with were the ones I ended up going into hiding with. We found an old abandoned apartment in my town to hide in. It was at the very top of the building and we let some of the fighters know where we were so that the fighters could keep the Aliens away from our hiding spot. Somehow I managed to get my one cat up with me but then I realized that my other cat was at home still and I didn't want the aliens to harm him. So I asked a friend to come with me to my apartment to get him. (The Aliens hadn't arrived yet.) we got my cat and then I went to my sister apartment to see if they (her and her boyfriend) knew and to get them to go into hiding with us. They were gone though, along with their animals and everything was thrown around, showing that they had packed what they could in a hurry to get away. They were with my parents (they didn't leave a note or anything, I just knew that they were with them and they all knew I was safe) so I didn't worry too much although I wished I was with them. My friend and I left and went back to the hiding spot. There was a TV so all of us were all gathered on a bed or the floor watching TV. Sometimes we would look out the windows and you could see the fighters fighting. The Aliens had arrived. Later, one of the fighters came to the window with a ladder and told us that so far we were safe and none of the Aliens were around us yet but pointed out to different places where the Aliens were and that they were checking houses and were capturing people at that very moment from their homes. In the dream I fell asleep for a while and woke up later to find that it was night time now (it was morning when we all went into hiding, and during the time when I was sleeping was when I woke up for real through the night before falling back to sleep and going right back to the dream) and that the group had all the lights turned on. The TV was going full blast and I felt angry, how could they have the TV and lights turned on? That would make the Aliens find out where we were. So I went and reamed them out for it, and began shutting off all the lights. One of them laughed and said:
"It's ok, they know we are here. I was talking to one of them hours ago through the window, we all were. They aren't going to bother us, they only want the fighters."
"How did they know we were here?" I asked.
"They spotted us through the window because we had a light on and saw people moving around."
Then still making fun of me, they made a sign in the window that said: WE'RE ALL UP HERE!
I still felt scared but didn't say anything but finished turning off the lights, thinking maybe it was a trick. Later on we heard running up the steps down below, several people were coming up(or Aliens, we all guessed the latter) and got completely terrified. I grabbed my cats and hurried to find a hiding spot. I found one in a closet that was filled with someones old junk and squeezed in a small space and hid. No one could see me, and I was glad. I could see everyone else running around trying to find hiding spots as well.
Some did, but a lot weren't successful. The Aliens got in through the locked door and started laughing at all the people that were still trying to find a place to hide. They started chasing them, everyone was screaming. I held both my cats close, terrified as I watched them. They grouped everyone together that they caught and started taking them out. A few Aliens stayed behind to look for anyone else but didn't find anyone so they left. I thought they were all gone and left my hiding spot but there was still one there. Luckily all the lights were still turned off so when I backed up against the wall and he was looking around, he didn't spot me and left.
There were only a few of left now, but we were all too scared to move around or anything. We stayed on a couch whispering, ready to hide again if we had to. There were still shouts below from the fighters. We looked out the window to see that the Aliens had cars, only they weren't normal cars. They were putting people in the trunk of their cars, except the trunks led to a large room for people to sit in and the cars could fly.
I woke shortly after that.

It was kind of a neat dream. I never remember dreams this well either. I can remember bits and pieces of them but this time I can remember this whole dream. There were bats that flew around too and a lot of spider webs, it was old and dusty. I don't know how long the people who had lived their once were  gone for but they had left everything there.

The Aliens looked liked people, except they were a lot more pale and yellow looking. They all blond hair. I'm not sure the colour of the eyes, but they didn't look the way people normally imagine aliens looking. They looked exactly like humans.

It sounds like the movie "War of The Worlds," have you watched it recently?

I feel this dream is telling you you are either protecting yourself or hiding from something, just as you hide in your dream. I think the aliens represent something "alien" to you... in the sense that something is going on that is not within your comfort zone (fear) and you are hesitant, and guarded. The fact that you fall asleep, wake up to find the house fully lit and tv booming and the people you are sharing space with find it funny and treat you as silly for fearing the aliens when the aliens were already there, however the aliens come back and they all scattered says you are trusting your instincts on whatever it is and you feel safe. Meanwhile the others get taken away and are contradicting what they said before about the aliens. You stay true to what your instincts tell you to do.. protect yourself and your cats. And protect yourself is something you do well because you were one of the few who weren't found and taken.

I hope this was somewhat helpful.. ultimately only you hold the key to how this correlates with your waking life.

I've been thinking about watching it. I hide myself from people. I don't leave the apartment anymore unless I have to. A lot of people in my town want nothing to do with me because of the way I look, so I just avoid them all together. But now that I lost my job it's rather depressing because I have no one to talk to at all. I've always thought of my cats first before all others. It never used to be like that, but once people started betraying me and being mean to me I realized that my cats are the only ones I can rely on in my life. They would never back stab or stop loving me. They don't judge me, so if it came right down to it, just like in the dream I would protect my cats before them. The people that were all in my dream are people who either betrayed me or want nothing to do with me... so maybe that meant something too.
