Welcome Deanos,

I cannot be 100% certain of anything, but my first impressions are that this particular dream/nightmare has absolutely nothing at all to do with any of your feline friends. I believe instead that the cat is a symbol of (or represents) something completely different from your waking life than your physical cat.

Please do not take any notice of the many general online dream dictionaries which claim that dreaming of a cat MUST ALWAYS BE seen as a bad omen for the future. Since a dream is written in the almost unique language of the dreamer's unconscious mind, a cat could symbolise one of several thousand different possibilties (few if any meaning the same thing).

Some dream interpreters suggest (but again do not take this as necessarily being true in your case) that dreaming of a cat could represent your own need to use your intuition or inner guidance in a more effective manner.

Others suggest that just as someone who is acting CATtish is acting out of jealousy and false pride in a cunning and deceitful manner, dreaming of a cat could amongst many other things mean that someone dear to you, who up until now you have always trusted as a close friend, will or has recently acted in the same way.

The bleeding wounds on the cat's throat could perhaps represent how this person's unkind and thoughtless acts towards you may have temporarily cut or wounded (spoiled) what was up until now an otherwise happy friendship, and the bandages could very well be symbols of your own genuine efforts to bridge or heal the emotional distance (bad feelings) which has developed between you, so that you can once again be the best of friends with each other.

Notice that the deepest wounds are symbolically upon the other person's throat, and not your own.

In other words, they have in reality risked losing much more by their unkind behaviour, than you have.

They therefore equally have much more to gain by once again becoming your true friend?

Purrrrrr, Purrrrrrr......

Hello Deanos,

Yes your boss could potentially be the person to whom the dream was referring, but I would not like to say this for certain as you are ultimately the best possible interpreter of your own dream (or dreams).

If your boss is indeed the person, I repeat that I feel that he or she has much more to lose than you do in losing a hard working and valuable employee such as yourself in the process.

I am only glad that you feel that this has helped you to better understand what this particular dream could mean. This is what I regard as my main purpose for working on this forum.

Your's truly,

EOT
