This dream happened a while back but its always stook in my mind. I usually remember most dreams for a little while but this one was different.

Anyway, i was back at my primary school with two of my friends. There was an audition for a singing competetion in a gymnasium which was very big in size. Me and my friends went in the gym and there were a lot of young children practicing (considerably younger than us). We sat down on a bench and a young girl with ginger hair stood up infront of me and started to swing them. I wasnt interested in the auditions but my friends wanted to stay so i went off (admittedly i was being mardy). I had to get through a crowd and struggled to step over all of the children sitting down on benches. I stumbled a few times.
After i got out, i was unsure of where the exit was so i walked up to a receptionist and when i asked, she pointed at two very large bodyguards either side of the door. I walked up to them and they wouldnt let me go because i didnt have a pass of some sort. After a while, i got free.

Next, i was walking down a drive way and as i got further down, i noticed a boy (that i know) was facing in the direction of a vast meadow and was looking towards the hills, yet he didnt acknowledge me.
As i got near the bottom, a woman was pushing a pram and behind her was a golden retriever, the dog was wandering close by. I approached the dog and we started to have a normal conversation. The dog was being very friendly and was asking me questions about me personally, and i answered without hesitation. We got to a gate and the dog opened it for me politely and let me go before himself. The surroundings were very similar. Anyway, we carried on talking as we strolled behind the lady and the pram. We got to a hill and i walked with the dog half way and then he left me. It was strange because im unsure if the dog actually belonged to the women, it just seemed to persistantly watch over them and follow aimlessy. Also, i never seemed to ask the dog any questions and i didnt know where it was from or where it was going. I felt heartache and was very upset because it felt like i knew this dog for a long while and there was a sense that i was never going to see him again.

Welcome Charlotte,

Please accept my sincere apologies for not getting back to you sooner, concerning the possible meanings of these dreams.

For the purposes of the exercise I will throw out all the generally accepted meanings in the dream dictionaries, and simply try to go with my own inner feelings instead.

The first one about the singing competition in the gymnasium suggests to me that you were not really interested in going there, but went along with your friends so that you would not feel outside the group. Finally you decided to take your chances of offending them, and gradually made your way to the exit (which you required help  to find), stumbling and stepping over other people in the process. I was wondering whether this means that you risked hurting your friend's feelings to stand up for your own rights and get some of your own equally important needs met at the same time. You are looking for a way to make a graceful exit without attracting the unwanted attention of the people around you (many of whom you do not even know personally).

The second dream begins with you walking down the driveway and being completely ignored by the boy (who you know in real life). You feel hurt and deeply disappointed that he does not even seem to know that you exist? Could this possibly be saying something about your understandable desire to be attractive to members of the opposite sex, especially in a girl of your tender years (no offence intended)? But he did not notice you at all!!!!! Could this merely be a symptom of your insecurity and perhaps lack of confidence in social situations?

The remaining part of your posting about the woman pushing a pram and behind her was a golden retriever was I admit much more puzzling, and it was the main reason I have not responded up until now. To be completely honest with you, although it appears as a dog in your dream my feelings are that it could represent a human companion or friend with whom you have now lost contact, and basically you are missing them. To our logical minds this part of your dream seems almost comical and frankly ridiculous, but I strongly suspect that it does have an important and much deeper meaning behind it.  Why would you expect a dog to hold the gate open for you, or answer your questions if in fact you had chosen to ask any?

Was the woman reasonably elderly (to a 16 year old anyone over 25 is frequently thought to be as old as the hills)? Older women in dreams are often associated with our own inner guidance or wisdom. The woman may have been in the dream, not because she owned the dog, but only to make you focus more on the totally uncharacteristic way that the golden retriever was behaving towards you.

Strong positive or negative emotions (it often depends on which way you look at an emotion as to whether you classify it as being more positive or negative - emotions are by their nature fairly neutral) are frequently associated with the contents of our dreams, and this should hardly be surprising as many of these dreams come from our own subconscious mind.

This area of the human brain is mainly involved with ensuring our physical as well as our emotional or psychological survival. It mainly operates from an emotion of fear or the so called fight or flight response. One of your greatest fears as a 16 year old young lady would most likely be a fear of not being accepted by members of your own peer group (people of a similar age), or of not being thought of as attractive by boys.

It is my personal opinion that all these dreams are examining your quite normal teenage fears in more detail, with the intended purpose to help you to more fully come to terms with your changing desires and needs as you progress slowly but surely towards becoming a mature adult.

Nothing overly negative to worry yourself about here. IMHO

Love, Light and Peace to you and your family from me and mine,

Hi Deepak-

This is what feel your dream means, that you are being shot at but you don't die... I would imagine something is going on in your life that's bothering you. The fact that you are bleeding and trying to get to a hospital and telling anyone in your dream you need to get to hospital but they aren't listening tells me that in your waking hours you are trying to communicate with people about something but you don't feel you are heard or they don't take you seriously.

I hope this helps

Welcome Deepak,

Just a friendly suggestion...........

While you were I feel indeed very fortunate this time that Angelique noticed your dream interpretation request here, could I please suggest in future that you should post these as an entirely new topic? It is regarded by many people and websites as being particularly bad netiquette to add your own postings to someone else's thread, especially if it is not immediately relevant to the subject being discussed at the time. This time you were lucky enough to be noticed by one of our most valued dream interpreters on this forum, but next time you could potentially miss out. That would be a great pity. IMHO

Please help us to help you,
