Is it true that whenever you have repetitive dreams that they may come true? I had this dream one summer that I kept getting shot at, and a few months later, there was someone that committed suicide at this bar I went to.
Well, this one that I keep having involves getting pregnant. I don't have the dream of getting pregnant everyday, but this dream has occured more than one within the past 2 years. Recently, I had a dream that I got pregnant twice, and I gave labor twice. I don't know who the father of the kids either. Towards the end of the dream, I was walking in a store holding the hand of a guy friend (we used to date, but he has a girlfriend now and a kid). What does this mean, cause I'm definately not ready to have a baby at this stage of my life? Thanks.

Hi daydreamer,
When most people dream, it is your subconscious' way of sorting out the day, things that are going on around you and working out pertinent issues that your conscious mind may or may not be aware of. For some, dreams are an eventual reality where they come true or something that has already happened.
Most people who have repetitious dreams they are usually indicative that you need to be aware of something. It's like your mind is sending a red flag saying "Hey pssst... over here. You need to work through this or address this and I'm going to keep bugging you until you pay attention."
I don't believe your dreams of being shot at, or pregnancy means you will be shot at or become pregnant. That is not to say one day you will not enjoy the joy of motherhood, but this most likely does not portend an imminent pregnancy in the near future. Usually pregnancy dreams (and note a lot depends on what's going on in the dream), signify a birth in the sense of changes that you are currently working on or you need to know you need to work on them. For example, an impatient person who needs to learn more patience or is actually working on learning more patience may have a dream of giving birth. What it means is the brain is working through it and something is going to emerge much like a newborn emerges from its mother's womb. In the example above, hopefully patience.
As for being shot at, again, depending upon what else is going on in the dream I think being shot at in anyone's dream, the feeling is universal. It's scary, a person feels there is a threat, a person is struggling to survive and avoid being shot at and most importantly the theme of the dream is you're being attacked. Now if you read the prior sentence it is indicative that a person who is being shot at ad frequently dreams something like that feels those feelings I stated above in their life somewhere. Whether it be in their personal life, work, family or generalization. Usually it means a person feels they are being attacked, they feel threatened, etc.. by something. What you feel threatened by is something you need to think about and figure out. Do you feel your co-workers are two-faced back stabbers? Does your family always seem to single you out? It doesn't necessarily have to be those exact scenarios, but along those lines.
I hope this was helpful for you.
Angelique
