Hello Arwynn,
BY ITSELF, software cannot be used to successfully interpret either your own dreams, or for that matter anybody else's.
But I would say exactly the same thing if you had been talking instead about any of the countless other tools of divination (including the Tarot, numerology, astrology, examining tea leaves or animal entrails...............).
I believe any person can draw a card or calculate a life path number, or in the case of interpreting a dream look up the general meaning in somebody else's dream dictionary, but while these may provide the person with a focus to hopefully prime the flow of useful information coming from their own unconscious minds, it is their INTUITION that makes the difference between a text book reading or dream interpretation, and one which has any real and lasting value to the person who is asking for their assistance.
If you thought I had misread your question as instead saying that you wanted to know whether or not software could be used to give a reading (rather than a dream interpretation), you would be incorrect. The truth of the matter is that the processes of giving intuitive readings and intuitive dream interpretations are remarkably similar. Indeed I myself started giving dream interpretations over the internet well before it almost seamlessly moved on to me offering psychic readings as well.
My answer to your question would consequently be identical in both cases (dream interpretations and psychic readings).
By itself, software cannot be used to either give constructive and successful dream interpretations, or to give effective readings.
But when software (or any other intuitive tool only) is used with humility by a living, breathing human being who has chosen to use his or her own intuition in order to be able to help others, that is when I believe the real magic begins.
In both the cases of readings and dream interpretations, in the end it is either the person requesting the reading (the querent) or the dreamer who needs to decide what is either relevant or useful from what advice was given, and to either put the rest on the back burner for a later time, or if it offends or confuses them even further, totally discard it.
Cheers,
