I've done dream interpretations nearly my entire life. Last night I had vivid one, though, that I'd like to get outside opinions on.
I dreamt that I was young again, maybe around 10 or so. Children were gathered around a box of puppies and a large basket of bunnies. Everyone was excited to see the animals and kept trying to touch them. The images in the dream were so close-up that I couldn't see the kids faces very well--I saw their knees and arms, and play-dirtied fingers, their old-time plaid seersucker shorts and ankle socks with brown leather shoes. (Kind of like a super close-up piece of a Rockwell painting, if that makes any sense to you...but that element somehow feels important.)
From beside my box of puppies I kept eyeing the bunnies. I liked my puppies very much, but I was crazy about those little bunnies. Suddenly I told the girl, "I'll trade you my puppies for your bunnies!" She thought about it for a moment, hugged some of the bunnies, then said, "OK." While I was pleased about the trade, I had a building sense of trading one problem for another, then instantly I awoke.
So...what do you think?

Although opinions may differ from mine, I think this is pretty cut and dry and you answered the question all on your own: "I had a building sense of trading one problem for another." It sounds like somewhere in your life, be it business, personal, family, an object your subconscious is telling you just that, you traded off somehow. A couple of examples would be you took another position at work because the one you had was a burden and you inherited another burden in your new position. Or, you could have broken up with a lover and found a new one, but he's got his problems too. Those are not actual events, just examples of trade off's.
