I'm new to the group.  I had a strange dream with remarkable symbolization but not sure what it means.  I was in a courtyard travelling south to a victorian house accompanied by spirits.  They were trying to lure me into house and I struggled.  Eventually I went in and saw that the living room and kitchen were in shadows.  I went upstairs to the bedroom and found a God on the balcony wanting permission to influence my dreams.  I laid in the bed but continued to struggle.  I eventually ran out of the house a proceeded to the courtyard walking along a path on the west side.  I passed a bench surrounded by 2 trees and slept there.  Then I reached another bench surrounded by 2 more trees and slept there as well.  This happened again on a third bench.  Then I was in a monastery that ran along the west side of the courtyard.  I found myself in a prophet's bedroom on the second floor.  I sat on the bed waiting for the prophet to appear on the balcony but he didn't come.  I noticed a writing desk used by this teacher.  However, I wasn't allowed to read any of his books.  Then I was in a mansion on the north side of the courtyard.  It was the house of the Queen of Heaven.  However, I didn't see her.  The spirits led me into a living room that was in various shades of yellow.  The furniture was modern and the color scheme was incredible.  I saw sofas, chairs, and telephones of various hues of yellow.  I walked through the room and crossed over into the kitchen.  It too was of various yellow shades with a telephone on the counter.  The cabinets opened up but there wasn't anything inside.  The refrigerator opened up and the light was lit but there wasn't anything inside.  Then I noticed a bread box.  I saw ancient bread in the box through the glass.  The bread box opened up and I took a closer look at the bread and saw that it was ancient old.  Then I was in another living room that was in various shades of orange.  Very similar to the yellow one.  There were so many telephones in various orange shades.  I walked through the whole room and crossed over into the kitchen with was also orange with a pale orange phone.  The cabinets opened revealing nothing,  the refrigerator was empty but lit and the bread box revealed another ancient loaf of bread that I gazed at through the glass.  It opened up and I took another look.  Then I was in a reddish pink living room.  This one was much larger than the other too.  The colors were mixed of pink and red.  There were many telephones within these shades.  I passed through the whole room and crossed over into a reddish pink kitchen.  The cabinets opened revealing nothing.  The refrigerator opened revealing medicine in the light of it.  I saw the bread box and there was bread in it that was much older than the other two.  I turned and saw a dining room but didn't venture in.  Then I was in a green living room that was much different than the other 3.  Those had modern furniture.  Where as this one had rustic furniture.  All things were in various green shades including the telephones.  I passed through the entire room but didn't venture into the kitchen.  A huge phone next to the entrance that stood on my right caught my eye.  It reminded me of a switchboard with a small handset.  There were so many lines on the board that it astonished me.  I stood by the phone and noticed that the cabinets opened along with the refrigerator but I wasn't inside the room.  The bread box opened up too but I wasn't in the room to see it.   Then I was in a den that had a plant stand in the middle of the room.  The plant stand had two sides with a small wall that divided it.  All the plants were artificial.  I could only see in white, black and gray.  I was upset that the plants weren't real and felt that it symbolized artificial life.  I saw a large window and noticed the back yard to this Queen's house.  The back yard was filled with all greenery.  However, there were no flowers.  Just shrubs and grass.  There was a river that ran through the property and I noticed an oriental house on my right.  There were other houses on the opposite side of the river revealing their backyards with lawn furniture.  I noticed that the outdoor furniture of the Queen's house was rustic with adirondack chairs.

I had a master lesson when I was 38 years old on September 1, 1999.  I thought that this dream might represent other lessons.  Please post and let me know what you think.

Thanks - Gypsy

I noticed a pattern in this dream were some the colours of the rainbow.  However, it started off in the middle and going backwards and then to the middle again. The sequence of the colour spectrum is ROYGBIV; Red/Orange/Yellow/Green/Blue/Indigo/Violet.  Your dream started with greenery (I’m sure there were more than just greenery, but your subconscious wanted to emphasize that is what was most important in this dream when explaining it) and then regressed in the spectrum. Each room you went into went from yellow to orange to red and then black/white/grey and back to green again.

From this alone, I would gather you had reached a certain point with something in particular, then regressed with it and arrived in a place in your life where everything somehow turned into black and white terms with some shades of grey for you. Towards the end of the dream the plants which represent life, animation, vibrancy to you were fake and disappointing. So whatever your journey, project, path or studies in the past were, you started off hopeful and gung-ho, moved forward to a certain point and then regressed where you reached a point you either lost faith and hope in or you just gave up. It would appear by viewing the Queen’s and other people’s garden from this standpoint your hope is returning, or you are gaining a new perspective, or re-gathered your energy and strength for this project, journey, path or study and you are almost ready to get your feet wet again - I say almost, because the crux of the dream seems to be a lot of hesitancy (your struggles) as described in the dream based on faith and trust in whatever it is you once actively pursued.  The bread represents nourishment, no matter how old it is it represents either nourishment of the body or the spirit. Based on the theme of this dream (Spirits, a god, the Queen of Heaven, monastery, prophets, etc.. ), I would say the bread represents nourishment for your spiritual path. The various phones in different colours represent to most people a form of communication. I would hypothesize you are considering regaining that communication you once had. Furniture represent comfort and or aesthetic appeal for most. It sounds like you were quite comfortable on some of the furniture as you were comfortable enough to fall asleep.

A summarization:

It sound like you went on a spiritual journey and somewhere along the lines lost your spunk, your interest or you lost your way (whether it was disinterest, questioning beliefs, questioning what you were experiencing as reality or fantasy, perhaps your logical side took over or the religious side you were taught to believe in conflicted with this journey – this is where the black/white and shades of grey fall into place) and remained stagnant for a spell. The fact that even though towards teh end of the dream you are seeing in black/white and shades of grey the good news is what is ahead of you is in colour and it sounds like you are almost ready to embark on that journey once again, picking up where you left off. But something is still holding you back. I gather from your dream you speak of spirits and a god trying to influence you. Should you decide to go forward again, maybe it would be a good idea to set up some boundaries for yourself so you don't feel overwhelmed by your progress, with moderation perhaps you will find comfort. It sounds like you need to figure that out what it is and why before you begin again. The question you need to ask is “what’s stopping me or making me feel hesitant?”

Please let me know what you thought of this interpretation after mulling it over.

My best to you,

Thank you so much Angelique for interpreting my dream.  I found your insight into the dream most accurate.  Although I had the dream recently.  I felt it had to do with a time in my past where I had experienced a force chanelling through my body which happened when I was 38 years old on September 1, 1999.  It happened out of the blue one day.  I sat down to have a cup of coffee when I went into a trace.  I felt an electrical vibration go up my spine and extend out of my head and began to see visions.  Most of them have come true.  It was a terrifying experience and I was able to see clairvoyantly many things but I sensed something in my house that I could only call an angel of death.  It was so horrible although I was calm in the trance, when the trance broke I started screaming for help.  The experience shook my faith and I couldn't believe that God would allow me to experience such a thing.   The only thing I couldn't understand in the dream was that I didn't go into the kitchen when I was in the green room......is that what is holding me back.....my fear that another experience may happen again in my future.  It terrifies me.   I truly appreciate your help.   You are wonderful.  Many thanks again.

Brightest Blessings,

Gypsy

Hi tengypsies,

I'm not really sure, only you know the answer to that question... But it sure sounds like you answered your own question based on what you experienced - it's a strong possibility.  As I said earlier, you need to find a comfort zone where the rules are on your terms. Perhaps seek someone out who can guide and teach control in attaining that should you decide this is something you want to pursue again.

I feel for you when you said you were terrified, I know what that feels like and I'm sure others here have experienced it too when using a talent or it just turns itself on all on its own and you have trouble controlling it.  Just remember, everything on your own terms -sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
Please interpret this for tengypsies, thank you.
