If your wife was looking for "IT" aka the poisonous snake in the flower garden, why would it therefore be so unexpected if she was subsequently bitten as a consequence of taking what I feel was an unnecessary risk?
Snakes in dreams can have any one of a thousand different meanings, according to the context in which they appear and also depending on the dreamer's attitudes and fears towards snakes in their waking life.
Humans do seem to have a primal fear of snakes of any kind as part of their survival instincts, and it is consequently hardly surprising that it was a serpent instead of some other animal which tempted Eve with the apple from the Tree of Life in the biblical garden of Eden - a real snake in the grass.
A snake is therefore commonly portrayed as something treacherous, unpredictable and potentially dangerous that it most unworthy of anybody's trust.
Perhaps in your wife's dream the snake in the flower garden represents or symbolises a person whom your wife knows personally that has similarly betrayed her trust, and has therefore by doing so "poisoned" any relationship between them as friends, that they once had.
If however she expected to find the snake, then went ahead and was subsequently bitten on her face (which itself often symbolises the way in which we prefer to appear to the world on the surface), it strongly suggests to me that she was seriously tempting fate by sticking her hand amongst the flowers, already suspecting that it was laying there and that as a direct result she left herself exposed or vulnerable to dishonourable or disloyal actions by someone whom up to that point in time she had believed could be trusted.
Does your wife now have any idea as to whom this person might be?

Thanks a lot, eye_of_tiger! Recently she took issue with one of her business partners (a girl in her 20s) over finance. They were close friends, however the relationship has been poisoned by all kinds of quarrel about money and how to run business properly.

Dear Friend,
I got this Dreams of seeing Poisonous Snakes and on two occasions I got a Son I have two sons now. But there was no question of any snake bite. When I got this Dream I was told by my wife that it is a good sign as she was pregnant and it denotes coming of a male child.
