I had a strange dream last night, as if I was raped by a woman and she took me to court. But the judge turned down her accusations. Would you pls interperet this strange dream?
Thanks a lot

Being raped by a woman in a dream may be saying something about your own sexuality, and perhaps your attitude towards women. In most cases it is the woman who is raped and is then not fairly listened to by the judge and jury, because of the still commonly held belief that being a woman she was automatically responsible for inviting his attack in the first place. Eve is the archetypal temptress?

The overall idea seems to be that women are always the ones that seduce the man by their very nature. It has nothing to do of course with the lack of willpower by men to resist taking advantage of women.

I wish to make it perfectly clear to anyone reading this that as a married man of over 28 years myself I personally regard these ideas as being totally abhorrent and unacceptable in a civilised society, but I do know that many people still believe these things to be true.

Being raped or violated by a woman and then being taken to court by the rapist and not the victim as is usual (although unsuccessfully) is a case of turning the tables, or of allowing you to see what would possibly be the consequences if you were yourself the victim, and not her.

Fortunately the judge was unwilling to accept her claim that you invited her to rape you, and that it was done with your spoken consent. Possibly this dream is an opportunity for you to recognise the consequences of your attitudes towards women in general, but it neither means that you are likely to commit the crime of rape or that you are about to be raped yourself. Rape is the violation of one person's body by another, without their consent. Within a dream it could symbolically represent a violation of trust, rather than the actual sex act?

Thanks a lot, eye_of_tiger. Your explanation sounds quite reasonable. To tell you the truth, I felt to be treated by an organisation the wrong way and recently I took the case to court. Since then I've been haunted by similar dreams. If there's any justice in the world, I hope I'll win the case. Thanks again
