Especially if your religious beliefs are also Wiccan in this lifetime, the possible interpretations of your dream are I feel more likely tied up with the symbolism used within the religion itself. I myself believe that your dream is largely a psychic one, and therefore not as open to interpretation using a general dream dictionary, as is the case with the common nightly variety.
I sense that this is related to an actual past life experience of your's in 16th century England, and in a strange sort of way you are being represented by that baby dragon. I get a definite feeling that perhaps because of your religious and other beliefs you held in that particular lifetime that just as with the baby dragon you felt different, and therefore isolated from other people around you.
To continue this theme in a later lifetime when the religious hysteria about any person being different also being a witch and therefore a servant of Satan was at it's peak, you were possibly condemned and executed as such.
Sherry is now one of your trusted friends in real life (?) and she may be appearing in these dreams not necessarily because she may have really shared past lives with you (although this is of course still possible), but rather because she is acting as a mirror off which you can reflect these ideas without feeling as though you will be judged or ridiculed for doing so.
In other words, Sherry might symbolically stand in place of your own inner guidance. There is considerable reflection and self examination going on within your dream as to the various possible reasons why you are the person you are now (especially with regard to why you may feel terribly uncomfortable with mainstream religious beliefs in this current lifetime as a direct result of negative past life religious or spiritual experiences).
Dragons are mythical creatures which by many dream interpreters are thought to represent those aspects of the female self which threaten to devour or destroy their owner. I feel that while you may be looking deeply within yourself for the possible reasons why your spiritual and religious beliefs remain unconventional (perhaps as a result of past lives), I seriously doubt that they threaten to annihilate you. On the other hand our dreaming minds do tend to be rather over dramatic at times in their attempt to get us to sit up and take notice of a potential problem even before it becomes a major one, so this may in fact be why it used a dragon rather than using something else cute and furry to represent you instead.
Hoping this helps,
EOT
