To dream that you are becoming wet from the rain is frequently believed to mean that you will soon be cleansed from your current troubles and problems.

The colour orange on the other hand is thought to represent renewed life and a very good reason for increased optimism and to practise more self love (practising self love is to value and respect yourself, and has absolutely nothing to do with you being vain or self conceited)

If you are in a real life a smoker, this dream could be a signal that it is time to quit before it is too late for the sake of your own health.

Our bodies possesses incredible self cleansing mechanisms, if we will only co-operate with them, or at least get out of our own way and allow our "inner doctor" to seemingly work it's magic.

Dear Mlady Raka,

Thanking you sincerely for your kind comments and for welcoming me to the Dream Interpretation forum, as I soon noticed that you are yourself both a valued and respected contributor to this board.

It is my belief that in the end it is the person concerned who is the best possible interpreter of his or her own dreams.

I see our main function therefore as one of providing extra hopefully useful insights which may offer them clues in entirely different directions which they might have not considered up until this point in time.

Perhaps we should regard ourselves as being dream facilitators, rather than as only interpreters?

Thanks again for taking the time to offer your support,

EOT

Dear Eye of Tiger,

I think you hit the nail on the head...LOL  I also believe that the dreamer himself/herself is the best intepreter.  Sometimes though, we just need to push the door between the subconsciouis and the conscious a little wider open for them, because many times a dreamer want to consciously know why he/she had the dream, but subconsicously is afraid or wary of the possible answer.

I think a person's background, culture and religious beliefs also has a lot to do with which symbols the subconscious would use...so if I know the dreamer is catholic or christian, african or european... I would look at identical symbols differently than for instance if the dreamer was indian, chinese,  hindu or bhuddist...pagan, jewish or muslim or of any other orientation.

Perhaps us interpreters could combine heads here and come up with some list of possible connections between certain symbols and different cultures and religions and make a standard enquiry before we do an intepretation about the seeker's cultural and religious identity?

I would like You, Eliz and me perhaps to put heads together on this one, since we seem to be the main interpreters/facilitators active here, but anyone else would be welcome if they feel they have some cultural information which may be of use in dream interpretations...

We do act as a catalyst in this regard....dream facilitator...I like the term...!
