I had a dream I was in some sort of regiment, I was a in a certain colour coded group, I can't remember what colour I was but I do know the next colour reigment was yellow.

The first thing that happened was my regiment and the yellow regiment having a mock battle with plastic bullets, I didn't do to well in that one, but the next day we had one using ice bullets, and I was great. I remember seeing one coming straight for me and moving to the side and it skimmed my hair.

Then weirder stuff happened, every morning the entire camp had a march, and everyday I would pass out and start fitting and usually someone from the yellow team would rescue me, in my dream the explaination was that I had diabetes, I knew that but no one else did. I lost my tongue somehow in the last fit and nearly fell down a cliff and someone nearly killed themselves having to save me.

All very weird.

To see the army in your dream frequently means that you (unconsciously) feel an overpowering force is working against you. You may feel outnumbered or stressed out, and therefore unable to deal with or overcome a particular set of circumstances.

The colour yellow strongly suggests that this is a self healing dream, as it is usually regarded as being symbolic of renewed energy and happiness or in this case the ultimate healing of a serious medical condition that possibly may require investigation by your local GP (especially if you are feeling consistently run down, are drinking too much too often, or already have a family history of diabetes).

The different types of bullets with some seeming to get through while others do not could mean that you and your doctor will need to trial several different alternative treatments, before you will find the right one for you.

Wonder drugs are sometimes referred to symbolically as being magic bullets that more often than not effectively reach their target.

While I would not advise you to panic and immediately conclude that you have diabetes on the basis of a single dream, surely there would not be any harm in finding out for certain if any unexplained symptoms you might have been having recently are in reality due to this, or are alternately caused by some equally treatable (but also potentially debilitating) condition.

Thanks for that,

Yeah there is a history of diabetes in my family and I am already insulin resistant which is the precursor to it, been tested a few times in the past couple of years but it's never come back positive so I guess I should try something else, maybe controlling the symptoms I sometimes have with diet.

I am not a qualified doctor, but I have seen first hand the long term effects of Type 1 (juvenile) diabetes on my younger sister, and I therefore encourage you not to attempt to change your diet or any other aspect of your treatment without first discussing this thoroughly with the same doctor who previously diagnosed your insulin resistance.

Even though this is possibly seen as being a precursor to late onset type 2 adult diabetes, please do not self diagnose or attempt to cope with it's potential symptoms entirely by yourself, as without wanting to sound as though I am over dramatising I have seen the negative longer term consequences of others who have done so and lived to regret it.

From what I have read there are tablets available which can only be prescribed by your family doctor or specialist (to be used in combination with a modified, balanced diet for a person of your age) that can stimulate the production of any remaining pancreatic cells which still can produce your own insulin, rather than introducing a protein from some other source which is seen by your body as being foreign and therefore much more likely to be rejected or destroyed by your own immune system. If you are resistant to your own body's insulin, this is an autoimmune illness with it's own unique treatment. Only your doctor can properly explain this to you, and how this knowledge could help.

In other words, please consult your doctor professionally as soon as possible, even if you are currently unaware of any obvious symptoms of diabetes outside of your dreams. This dream may indeed be serving as a wake up call for you to take positive action BEFORE the problem can possibly develop any further (if at all).

Take care,

EOT

There are two types of bullets that the dream has focused on and came into contrast with - "plastic" and "ice."

The ice or coolness works better for you or you come up winning from this, although you are knocked on your face by one of these and things seem to change where you need help from  "yellow" person.

You said you had diabetes in the family. You probably witnessed a few fits/convulsions in your time. The dream sounds like it may be echoing your experience of witness.

My feeling is that you are ok. The dream may be expressing your fear of "not being a team player" and the demand to do so like in an army camp - either your fit or you are discharged from the army.

Tell me what you feel.
