I dreamt I was in Russia and I was a horse. I watched a young woman raped by some men.

I was horrified.

I have been o/s and many Russians and have a good opinion. This was out of the blue and has not followed dreams before or after.

A horse in a dream represents an aspect of your own emotional, instinctive nature, one from which comes an inclination or motivation to feel a sense of self esteem, self worth or self respect. (Note how a horse “stands tall”.) As you are the horse in this dream, it would indicate that you living at or from a very instinctive emotional level and also that when doing so where your sense of self esteem or self respect is involved, that you are actually demeaning your human nature (as you see yourself in animal form rather than in human form) The horse image may also be referring to a very temperamental nature through which, in this case, you are similarly demeaning yourself as a human.

{The reason for saying that you are demeaning yourself through your instinctive emotions is that emotions seen in animal form are not considered to be rational – they are not feelings that have arisen as a response to logical or rational thinking. The human form is a “rational body” and it does not honour you to see yourself in animal form.}

Whether you are dealing with issues of self esteem or a very temperamental nature, this dream puts you as a horse upon Russian ground.  (a horse in Russia). This would mean that the grounds of reasoning being used upon which your instinctive feeling are based can be related to the Russian culture. {How do Russian women think of  themselves? Do they have a high regard for themselves or not? Is a temperamental nature seen as acceptable to Russians?}

If you have actually been in Russian, traveling or living, you would have some justification for basing your sense of self esteem or a temperamental nature on a Russian way of thinking.  While your reply to my questions indicated you have been in Czechoslovakia, and among many Russians, I did not get the impression you were actually in the area known as Russia. If this is so, then perhaps you may need to look at your feelings about self esteem or a temperamental nature and see how they might differ from women’s who relate to the culture of the land of your own ancestors – both parents and grandparents.  While you may not pay much attention to stereotypes, it might be helpful in this case to note and compare the commonly assumed prominent characteristics of  those in the ancestor’s home land and of the Russians.

The woman in the scene would refer to another emotional aspect of yourself, a more rational aspect. The men represent an aspect of your mind and show how the mind is thinking.  The scene shows the mind abusing your emotional nature (woman is raped). In other words, the mind and your way of thinking is forcing an idea(s) upon your emotional nature, an idea that your more rational feelings is not choosing to accept. As you are watching this seemingly as the horse, it may be that only on an instinctive or subconscious level that you have become aware of this.  What your mind is putting over upon you most likely relates to how you feel about yourself ; to how you establish your sense of self esteem or sense of self worth. What your mind and way of thinking is doing to you as a female, is something to feel horrified about. (I was horrified) You may need to keep a watch on this type of abuse.  (I watched a woman being raped)

I am learning my emotions are indeed worth listening to. Currently, I have an abusive male landlord and a rotating tenants next door - that is in the last three weeks at least ten different males have lived there. I was disturbed by the aggression of these people plus my own partner's response to this situation.

Moving is running and unstabilising. I chose now to see the end of this. I am nearly there.

In Czech, there was an nasty incident which I have now spoken my feelings clearly to a friend and his associates without anger.

I felt more at home in the Czech than here in Australia. I was able to relate closely to the women in this culture. I noticed I was able to be vulnerable and protected. It has taken me 8 months to settle back into Australia and still I sometimes think how beautiful Europe is an pine.
