A dream about a particular person

What does it mean when you dream about a particular person? Two nights ago, I dreamt about a friend of mine whom I haven't seen in several weeks. I don't remember exactly what he was doing in the dream. I think that he was just sitting at a table talking with some people.

I have longed to see that friend again during the weeks that have gone by since I last saw him. Does this dream have anything to do with possibly seeing him again?

Could I please ask if you were also sitting at the same table with your friend and these other people in your dream, or were you merely a passive observer?

The overall most likely interpretation of your dream largely depends on your answer to this single question.

Thanks,

Unfortunately, I don't remember if I was sitting at the table with the other people. However, I do remember hearing my friend talking in the dream, and I think that at one point he talked to me. Also, I think that I talked to him as well. Sorry, my memory of that dream is a bit vague. I was just happy to have dreamt with him since I haven't seen him in a while.

I never considered your dream as too vague to be taken seriously as I was asking this because I felt that if you had been seated at the table it would suggest that you may see your friend again, while if on the other hand you had been instead a passive observer, then it could be seen as meaning that you are now on the outer, and that whatever friendship you once had with this person is now well and truly over.

If as you added above your friend recognises and responds to you being present in the same room with him and these other people (although not actually seated at the same table) I would definitely regard this as being a reason for hope that you may indeed see him again.

Of course there is also the real possibility that this is not a sign that you are to be reunited with your friend at all, but that this dream is merely an expression of your wishful thinking, and is therefore probably a harmless fantasy given to you in order to offer you a sense of comfort and inner peace (poor consolation, I know) amongst the sadness of having possibly seen your friend for the last time.

It can be wishful thinking.

Can also be astral travel.

What are the dreams like that are around the same time as the familiar person dreams?
