I guess my dreams started about two years before the attacts of the world trade center on 9/11. It was a recurring dream, where the theme was always the same although the surroundings would be different. I have doccumented many of these dreams in a dream journal.

Anyway, within this dream, I was always somewhere watching a plane crash in the distance. Sometimes the plane would just explode in mid air, other times it would crash into the ground in the middle of no where. In each dream I always got this overwhelming sense of helplessness and I would even often awake with tears in my eyes.

I tried for forever trying to interpret these dreams to find out what they meant. It wasn't until I was sitting in the auditorium on my college campus watching the 2nd plane hit the twin towers that the dreams came to light. I got the same sense of helplessness and my eyes welled up with tears. Ever since then the dreams have stopped completely. I guess I should also include that about the same time the dreams started, I started to look at the clock everyday, twice a day, at exactly 9:11. I have also written about this in my journal and at the time I told several people about it.

Is this a form of precognition?

If there is a direct correspondence between many of the elements of your dreams and the actual events as they happened on that terrible day, then this is very likely in my opinion to be a genuine form of precognition/having a psychic premonition of the future/of you possessing the spiritual gift of prophecy.

Do not feel too upset or put off if you did not foresee every little detail exactly as it happened, as true precognitive content is frequently mixed up with unconscious dream symbols in order to fill in the gaps in your dream and perhaps to better help you to accept what was going to eventually happen without causing you to instantly freak out, or even worse ignore these dreams completely. Not even the most successful prophets have anything like a 100% strike rate, and this is one of the many types of premonitions which we all hope will never come true!
