The other night I was woken up by the loudest noise I have ever heard in my life.  It was a loud screeching noise, I guess kind of like when a train is braking and you hear that loud groaning/screeching...  The noise was in my right ear only.  I woke up and looked at my husband to see if he heard it as well and he was sleeping soundly.  My cats were in bed with us also and they were fast asleep as well so I know they didn't hear it.

Has this ever happened to anyone else?  The only thing I can chalk it up to is a dream, but it seemed so real.  My ear actually hurt!!

I have woken up suddenly for similiar reasons, well not noise, but feelings. About 2 monthes ago I woke up around 2 in the morning because i felt what seemed like an earthquake It felt as if my entire house shifted and was definetly noticable I was pretty freaked out by the whole thing and the next morning I asked the rest of my family if they had felt anything. Nobody had felt a thing that night and my mother was even awake. She returned from he night shift at the hospital around 1 30 and still never felt this. Im not sure if it was my imagination or if i actually did feel somthing
