I sincerely hope you are not getting into fights, Rebecca!
Your face is how you present yourself to the world. So anything which affects your face affects how you think the world sees you.
By losing a tooth, thus detracting from your appearance, I think you feel you have done something which you fear may have made you "lose face" to those around you, whether family or at work. You are trying to repair the damage, but you can't quite.
Whatever it was that happened, you feel it has made people "see you differently". "Everyone could see the tooth was missing."
I think this represents a dent to your confidence, some self-doubt.
Teeth especially represent power, your "bite", so you feel some power has been lost.

This kind of power balance with those around you is always changing, don't worry about it too much. You just need to tell yourself you are a valuable person; all souls are equal, and equally loved. You are no less than anyone else, so don't beat yourself up.
"You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars, you have a right to be here."

Chin up, babe, it will pass!
Best wishes,
Tish
