Seeing giving yourself an abortion or going for an abortion, signifies to me that you  are:

"Aborting" an idea or venture in its embryo or beginning stage."  

The reasons for this may vary....You either feel threatened by the outcome, should you let this idea come into fruitition.  It may be that you feel if this idea comes to "life" you will be tied down by it's consequences and/or it may disrupt your current way of life in such a way as to be inconvenient to you or a burden.

As with real abortions, you may on waking from your dream feel guilty for having done this.  The reason for this could be that "aborting" this idea or venture could or would harm someone else whom you are indebted to, or who depends on you for carrying out this idea or venture.  

It is a matter of your subconscious playing out between your needs and desires, as opposed to your duties toward someone else or society, and in this case your own needs and desires won the battle...so the abortion takes place.  

Since this is (hopefully) only still in your mind, it is only your own emotions and issues you have to deal with then.  If this idea has already manifested outside as a discussion with someone else, your guilt may be fueled by the other party blaming you for "pulling out" of the venture or "aborting" the mission.
