Thanks for your input, Rhutobello, but I'm in Australia, and we express our dates as the English do - DD-MM-YY, and my system is configured for English (Australia).  I checked out my control panel under language and time-zone and the date is written in there as Australians write it - DD-MM-YY.

I'm even more confused now than ever................  

How come my Chinese Zodiac software still expresses Day numbers (up to 12) as months, while at the same time expressing the month number as the DD?

As I've asked before - is it just me???  Am I hexed???????

So sorry, Rhutobello - please ignore that last post of mine, as I didn't read yours correctly.  I can see now that I expected the software to respond to DD-MM-YY, and it's set up to respond in the American way of MM-DD-YY.  That's easily fixed.  The English (& Australian) way of expressing a date is (the logical way as I see it!!) DD-MM-YY.  To change to what will work on the program I guess I'll have to change my set-up to English (US).
