Aries:

It's going to be one of those days -- the kind when anything can happen. Of course, you're always game for the unexpected, especially if it involves some excitement, and you'll smell the excitement in the air when you wake up this morning. Your mission, should you generously choose to accept it, will be to try to keep things under control for anyone in your family who's not quite so fond of last minute changes and sudden occurrences.

Taurus:

A family situation that's been on simmer for a while now stands every chance of boiling over today. Your job is to use every little bit of your famous patience and reserve to keep that from happening. It may not be easy, especially if you're emotionally attached to one or both parties, and even more so if you can see both sides of the issue. Still, someone has to be the grownup here, and as usual that job will fall to you.

Gemini:

If you've got public appearances to make, regardless of whether they're business or personal in nature, better arrange to have a bodyguard handy. You're going to be a loose cannon on the deck, emotionally speaking, and you absolutely won't care who's there to see it. The good news is that if anything of a truly urgent nature comes up, you'll probably be the only party on hand who's qualified to handle it.

Cancer:

You've never been called stingy, have you? That goes double when it comes to giving what you can to help children, animals or anyone else who's legitimately in need. That's a lovely quality, and it's something that won't leave you anytime soon. At the moment, however, you need to be on your guard against someone who'll see you coming -- someone who has a plan in mind about how to quickly separate you from your hard-earned cash.

Leo:

Your deepest feelings -- including, and especially, anger -- will be easy for others to see at the moment, so if you want to keep them under wraps you have only one option: Make yourself scarce. If you can't, at least warn anyone you'll be spending time with that you won't be willing to take no for an answer, regardless of the subject, and trying to push you in a direction you don't want to go will be an exercise in futility.

Virgo:

You're not easy to surprise. You've heard it all, memorized most of it, and read up on the rest. At the moment, however, the universe has arranged a surprise for you -- yes, an actual surprise -- and not only will you be unable to see it coming, you'll also be caught totally off guard when it arrives. The good news is that many, if not most surprises, are wonderful. Just be sure you're prepared for anything.

Libra:

A new supervisor, coworker or rule will turn your daily schedule upside down, and quite possibly leave you wondering what to do next. But if you stay flexible and keep in mind that the only constant is change, you may not only adapt but you'll learn to love your new circumstances. In the meantime, expect the unexpected, and don't get comfortable. Change is definitely en route. Your job is to make the end result positive for all parties concerned, especially yourself.

Scorpio:

If there's anything you appreciate in your loved ones, it's consistency. So when someone you're close to says or does something that's entirely out of character, it may throw you, temporarily, at least. Of course, knowing you and your propensity for adapting to just about anything that's tossed your way, you'll do just fine. You may even discover a whole new side to their personality -- and what could be a bigger turn-on for the detective in you?

Sagittarius:

If anyone is known for doing absolutely everything they can for the ones they love, it's you. So now, when a loved one comes to you for help, there's no reason to believe that you'll act any differently. This, however, may be a situation that's trickier than the last few you've dealt with, especially since it will be quite unexpected. If you can help without inuring yourself or your reputation, do it. If not, bow out and find someone less involved who can.

Capricorn:

Although it's not easy to surprise you, today will prove the exception to that rule. There's at least one major surprise en route in the department of communications. Routine conversations and encounters won't be quite so routine right about now. That goes for any conversation, whether it's in person or via phone, email or snail mail. If you expect it to turn out one way, it could quite possibly end up in an entirely different direction. Ready or not, here it comes!

Aquarius:

Impulse and impetuousness are right at the very top of your sign's list of qualities. At the moment, however, you'll be dealing with the ups and downs of those traits in the department of finances. Your mission is to rein in your own tendencies toward impulsive overspending, to take back the charge cards or joint checking accounts, if necessary, and to refuse to be parted from your money by anyone who's a little too good at talking you out of it.

Pisces:

If anyone is famous for being able to withstand anything and any everything with compassion, understanding and sensitivity, it's you. You're usually quite able to keep your temper under wraps, too. At the moment, however, it won't be easy for you to hide anything you feel, for better or worse. You'll also surprise everyone around you with your reactions. If you're accused of overreacting, hang in there. Just because they're not used to seeing you this way doesn't mean you're not justified.
