Whatever it is, you're usual work ethic is a little lacking -- but probably so is everyone else's.

Rather than beating yourself up about what you said, or did, or failed to say, or failed to do, how about getting yourself in the position to have a productive conversation about it? Your powers of observation are on-point, you've diagnosed the situation (if not over-diagnosed it) -- now's the time for some action in the form of words. Luckily you're able to make yourself clear -- and simultaneously convey a little of your trademark charm.

The temptation to quash a certain rumor going around the office or among your circle of friends is definitely there -- but then you'd have to lower yourself to the level of gossip, not to mention let on what you really know.
