I believe that is an Ocean jasper.... i dont have my crystal bible on me at the moment but it does look like an ocean jasper to me... i will double check it when i have my bible with me

Its not a Jasper, that is a mx of several different minerals, it does look like some kind of Feldspar and also perhaps Onyx, Calcite and Quatrzes, altogether it looks like a granular stone that has been polished. Very pretty

Eggs are often chunks of stone cut and polished, some of the nicest ones are Onyx based

Do you think so? That crossed my mind but usually pyrite is much more shiny than those flat bits of browny rusty? And finding it in a grossular mass like that is extremely unusual I don't think that the piece would have withstood cutting or polishing either?
