What is the proper way to cleanse and care for your crystal? The question was asked but not really answered. I bought some crystals for Feng Shui purposes but before I place them I want to be sure they have been cleared and are ready for placement. Please advise!

There is some conflicting information out there on cleansing crytals.
Here are my thoughts -
Sunlight will cleanse some, but may change color a bit
Water can cleanse some, but some minerals in some crystals can dissolve.
Salt is corrosive to any crystal that contains copper so I never use it.
A herkimer diamond (if I spelled it right) can fracture in warm water.

Crystals can be cleansed in moonlight with no adverse affects.
Citrine can cleanse other crystals. I keep citrine with the crystals that I carry daily.

Intention cleanses and programs crystals. I always set a cleansing intention and a specific healing intention when I do healing work.

Those are my thoughts......

If you have Tibetan or crystal bowls, you can put some cloth in the bottom, put the crystals in and vibrate them with the intention of cleansing them.
Sage, smudging them works, with intention.
Also Frankincense and Myrrh work, or Copal.

Ask the stones you're using, they usually let you know what they want.

A lot of people place strong emphasis on cleansing with water, and we've had many an upset person when the crystal or formation is damaged. Minerals I would not put in water unless you are 100 % it will do no harm. Angelite, tuquoise, opals, hemimorphite, are among a few that need to stay way from the water. Malachite and chyrsocolla should also stay out of the water except for a very quick rinse!

Using selenite to cleanse and charge you crystals is a quick, easy and safe way. I have several stations to place my working stones on.
