I am having my mind probed by people who seek to cause me pain. I seek advice on how i can best defend my mind without shutting out or given focus to defending myself.

I have had several serious curses laid upon me in the past.
Images that play to my fears forced into my mind.
The latest being so strong i forced the image of my adopted daughter out of my mind. Blocking her sight to me and all memories of her.
She stood before me and i was unable to see her.
I have since then fixed that but i must created a stronger overall defense for my mind.
ATM i am only tuning in when i need to use my ability, i wish and was tuned in always and would like to keep it that way, is there anything i can do to protect myself against negative energy aimed at me.
I'm thinking just a basic protection crystal which will strengthen anything i create to protect myself, and will naturally offer defense against negative energy directed at me.
My belief in god keeps me strong most time but there are moments of hardship when a little bit extra, something physical, could help to minimize the requirement of being saintly 24/7. It is my wish that i did not need such things but as i am only human, and my enemies wait upon my moments of weakness, it is best for me if i have other forms of protection.

Firstly one thing you should know about curses is that the only have as much power as you allow it. Someone can wish me all the ill-will in the world but unless I accept their wishes it means absolutely nothing. I'm not saying it's fun to be cursed, I'm just saying curses are useless if you don't allow them to affect you.

A good stone for you would be black tourmaline (schorl). It is easy to find in most New Age bookstores or gem shops. For best use, put all the positive thoughts you can into it - focus your prayers, strength in your faith, and even bunny rabbits if that helps. Placing the stone in your home will constantly fill the atmosphere with those thoughts, especially when you need it.

Protection is ultimately in your hands. Allowing negative energy to affect you is completely in your control. Using something like tourmaline will put into motion your strength but at times when you don't have the strength to muster.

I would avoid quartz until you feel more safe.
