I would recommend plain old rock crystal quartz for clarity. Both rose quartz and carnelian can be good for expressing your love. Some gem shops will have raw ruby - I found some for less than $5 before. Generally, rose quartz is the best for that sort of thing - it is prone to tune itself that way.

I'd also like to back-up Gem's comments: obsidian and hematite are good protection stones. Both are have transistor properties and so any "umph" you put into them will be broadcast throughout your space. They are both really pretty stones too.

There is to be a big life changing event on Tuesday in my ife...I seriously wonder whats going to happen?
I'm making sure i have a crystal for this moment as i feel i may need addition strength.
Although it seems this moment will be one of pure blessing from god.

ahhh strange. I was thinking about getting a stone and was abit annoyed about the fact i couldn't have one today.
THen i looked to my windowsill and wouldn't ya know it, there was a jasper stone sitting right there.
My daughter left it there ages ago for me but forget to mention she had.
It's been in front of me for ages =]
