Fedora, all information is welcome, if only to be able to compare and decide. We have been thanking you both for it. But it is pretty obvious that you two are miles apart from the rest of us in the uses and knowledge of the stones.
For example, if what you say is true about having to attune crystals by meditating with them, then I will never be able to get anything out of them. I have practiced yoga for about 15 years and in all that time I have been utterly unable to meditate with or without stones: my mind is quite blocked against forced immobility and so am I.
Anyway, I hope you both keep posting and comparing notes. We humble ignorants would be truly grateful. Please. |
I'm sorry if my last post seemed a bit hot. I was taken back by having to defend my theories. If this is a place to provide personal theories and uses for gemstones I'd be happy to participate, but if this is a place to determine which theory is
better or
right I have no interest in doing so. No matter what anyone does it is all theory and ultimately there is no way to determine which theory is best except for personal trial and error. Each of my posts were contradicted and by the end of the discussion I felt like I was defending myself more than providing my personal insight on the topic.
That said, I'd love to continue to contribute in a more productive format. Please take my assertions for what they are ... theories, and I'll do my best to explain how I came to these conclusions (and I have done that to this point). If there are other theories than mine than that's fine (and expected), however if there is a public statement that my theory is wrong I would at least like a functional counterpoint to support that.
In any case, I don't think this format is for judging who's techniques are better, but rather to just provide insight on what our techniques are. Perhaps we should have a separate thread regarding method and debate techniques there.
Sorry for the lengthy post - anyway, in answer to your question: meditation is not the only way to tune a stone. In fact, all that is necessary is that you focus your intent on the stone. This is true with any tool or ritual. Ritual is meaningless without expressed intent. Just "putting it out there" is enough to synchronize your energy with the affects/benefits of gemstones. You can also place the stone in an environment conducive to your intent. For example if you are looking for a stone to help with money keep it near your wallet, or if you are trying to help yourself sleep, keep it near your bed. Stones are not picky on what energy they collect/utilize, so simply placing it in area with a lot of the desired energy will do the trick.
