Fedora, we are a billion miles apart, for me the crystals are full of energy, the world is, the universe is! As are you me, dhav and pirbid and all the other members. If you feel that you are better and stronger than the crystals and so need to programme and tell them to do what you think is best, that's fine, but your way is very basic and started quite recently with a particular school of thoughts. It is not a crystal keepers way and not the way of many other people. However as always you can state your opinion, everyone can, but choosing to believe it is up to the reader and their opinions and beliefs, and of course, the leading character here ......... the crystals. For me, my way, it is by far better to ask them. |
I have to fall back on science for this. There is matter and there is energy and while they mingle they are two distinct and different things. Energy doesn't come from just anywhere - it exists in function and in potential.
We aren't as far apart as you think. Of course everything is full of energy - as I'm sitting here I shudder to think of all the unseen physical energy bombarding me, let alone energy that can't be measured third dimensionally. My point is that stones (or any other form of matter) don't create energy from nothing. Energy passes through it. Certainly stones are predispositioned to collect certain kinds of energy, but like any tool it needs to be willed into function.
I don't think I'm -better- than stones, but if I want a stone to do a specific something for me I need to tell it what I want it to do, or at the very least give it the energy it needs to function. What good is a hammer if you don't use muscle/energy to hit the nail. Sure a hammer is designed for nail-hitting, but it isn't going to do it on its own.
If the tool metaphor seems off, look at stones as energetic conduits (and they are). A transistor radio receives and stores energy all the time but unless it is turned on and dialed onto a particular station it doesn't function. Batteries and capacitors store electricity but unless the electricity is released they don't function.
Leaving a rock crystal quartz in your closet may amplify energy, but unless you put it in your hand and direct the energy according to your needs it won't function.
Stones have life, certainly, but they do not have a life force. They are not living things and cannot decide on their own how to process energy above and beyond what their natural form does. It is up to the person using the stones to "turn them on" and "tune" them into the thing they want.
Asking stones what they do is no different than sensing their natural function. You can ask all you want but until you
use the stone it will not function for you.
It strikes me as condescending that you state I believe I am better and stronger than crystals. I'm not sure what you mean by that. Am I better and stronger than a hammer for applying energy to it so it will whack a nail? I'm not sure how to answer that. It implies that there is some contest between me and the stone. There isn't. I'm just applying energy so it can function and tuning it to the station I want to hear.
My theories have methods and ascertaining properties based on personal feelings was never enough for me. I try to find the cause, pattern and form. Like anything in this life, you get what you make of it and everyone will find their own personal meaning with stones.
But here is the thing. I'm a mystic and my own intuitions are not enough. I need a reason why and method for getting there. My responses to these questions were not meant to challenge the status quo, but to offer a line of thinking that can support existing theories. I prefer this approach than just making blind assertions.
Frankly I'm surprised about this reaction to my attempt to help this community and this conversation has made me uncomfortable. The tone in your posts makes me think my theories are not welcome here. If so, than that's fine. I don't mean to intrude - you have clearly been here longer than me.
I have no desire to enter a challenging environment and would prefer to offer my opinions without having to defend them. In some eyes this post may seem like an overreaction (maybe it is), but I've been in far too many communities where communication felt like an uphill battle and I'd rather devote my energy elsewhere.
Best regards![/i]
